The Noise My Father Makes

My father has been making this hawking noise for the last few months and I am about 2 seconds away from strangling him.  You know that noise people make when they’re scratching the back of their throat with their tongue? Or when there’s a popcorn kernel stuck on the side of your tongue and you’re trying to get it off? Or like when you have a big piece of phlegm you’re trying to get out? 

Yeah that sound! And he’s been making it for the last few months. He works nights so we’re rarely up at the same time and if we are we aren’t near each other. I’ve been working from home since March but I work in the attic. During the first half of my day he’s sleep (because he’s just getting off) and at the end of my day he’s in the basement. By the time I’m off he’s either sleep again or there might be a 30 to 1 hour space where we’re both up. Lately he’s been making this throat clearing noise all the time and it’s driving me crazy. 

He says it’s his allergies. My thing is get some damn medicine then. It’s like nails on a chalkboard to me. It makes me want to rip his lungs from his body so I don’t have to hear it anymore! 

I’m trying to do a discussion post I definitely should’ve done days ago and I can’t hear myself think.

Uhhmm so it’s quarantine since forever now i have to ask about natsu’s hair dye.. I’m sure it’s slowly going back to it’s natural color , is that okay with him ? ..or idk what I’m asking.

oh god yeah i didn’t even think of this 😂 after a couple weeks of the black roots showing he’d probably try to do it at home, which would be a total disaster. i mean i dye my own hair but the first few times i did it, it definitely looked like i murdered someone in my bathroom! gray would forbid him from dyeing it at home but then they’d facetime with natsu’s mom and she’d do that passive aggressive “oh your hair looks so nice like this” thing that parents do when they hate their kids hair, and then gray would give in and help him. they’d probably ruin every towel they own and end up bleaching gray’s shirt by accident, and then stain the tub pink, but it would be worth it because it makes natsu so happy!
