Random Headcanons about the show

Queen Hedwig and Philippa had a long-lasting rivalry at court - one of the reasons Philippa seduced the queen’s chief handmaiden, Eva.

All of this is supported by the fact that Philippa - and Dijkstra - planned to have Ciri married to Vizimir. Hedwig - being barren as mentioned by Vizimir - feared the loss of her royal position and began conspiring with Nilfgaard/Lydia van Bredevoort (who was presenting herself as working for Nilfgaard) - to prevent this, Philippa and Dijkstra have her assassinated and frame Nilfgaard for it - two birds with one stone - get rid of the problematic queen controlling her husband AND turning said husband king against Nilfgaard
