OK, I don’t know if it was a conscious decision by SJM, but I’m massively impressed with the overall tone of this book and how characters appear. One thing Feyre always said as narrative lead was that Nesta and Cassian each see more and feel more than anyone else. So this novel- told from their stances as narrative leads- is much more blunt, unvarnished, and honest. I absolutely love it and it’s incredible to see!

She’s done it again. QUEEN MAAS HAS DONE IT AGAIN!

The last 200 pages of the book had my heart racing, my eyes full of tears and me on the edge of my seat as if I was watching a movie.

The other 600 pages gave me an amazing plot, more characters to fall in love with a a few good laughs. How does Sarah keep creating these amazing characters that continue to own pieces of my heart? I’ll never know but I won’t complain, haha.

Let’s talk about how unique and beautifully written the world was in this book. That alone could give this book 5 stars. We have magic, fae, humans, angels, shapeshifters, wolves packs, demons, and more all in one book!

Let’s also talk about how Maas makes these males that make me swoon from start to finish. Hunt is added to my list of book boyfriends I’ll never have in real life. Ruhn was also amazing and I loved everything about him

Bryce was very relatable to me and quite likeable. I feel like her guilt and grief was very realistic and I appreciate reading a story when the main character actually takes time to overcome their sorrow instead of becoming “strong” after one pep talk! Maas is great at narrating grief/anxiety/depression etc.

Overall this is another 5 star book for me and I hope we don’t have to wait more than a year for book two!
