Albeit bullying that pretends it’s for some higher cause, and totally pissing off conservatives (who have spent most of the past decade being called racist, sexist, Nazis, etc.), guiz!

Weird how I don’t see a single Yank conservative who’s actually pissed off. These people just keep insisting it happens.

And it’s kind of ironic for someone who pre-blocks people (and uses Shinigami Eyes) to sneer at other people for supposedly being thin-skinned.

And for people who delight in being unusual to use “weird” as an insult for people who are, um, normal.

It’s the effort to make everything science-based that puts the absurdity over the top. There’s stuff that happens with the protag’s powers that very much doesn’t even follow conservation of matter (producing gallons and gallons of water out of nowhere, and no it’s not coming from the environment around protag), and the story is trying to tell me there’s a genETIC MARKER FOR THAT ABILITY????

there is a contrarian part of me that wants to write a fantasy setting where the Oppressive ClothingTM is circus-tent like hoops that turn one into a fabric orb from the neck down

I would love that, not only because it would be hilarious, but also because it would be amazing if played completely straight. How does the “oooh rebellious character is cleaned up nicely” trope go when the clothing conceals their body so thoroughly? 

Also being a ping-pong ball works way better than a corset as a Horrible Clothing Item because a corset can be worn to give regular boob and back support but I think fabric orbs would *always* be inconvenient
