Wow, it's tough to enjoy the Golden Colosseum with all this mist everywhere, right? But good news our May update is here: Golden Colosseum Quests are now available! However, we're doing things a little differently this time around...

Quest Update: Tuesday Evening (Pre-Bedtime)
Since @theitalianscrub asked for updates (and because I really want to geek out about this) here are some highlights so far since I brought the Oculus Quest home this evening:
The packaging is sweet (I know not everyone cares about that kind of thing, but I appreciate it as part of the experience)
Setup took a little bit longer than I expected, but not too bad
The part of the setup that took the longest was trying to get the broadcast feature to work so my iPhone would display what the person wearing the headset is seeing
My oldest daughter started to get really impatient and frustrated while I was trying to set up the screen broadcasting, but she was all smiles and giggles as soon as I put the headset on her
My experiment to broadcast from the Quest to my iPhone, and then from my iPhone to the Apple TV, has so far no worked out (it keeps dropping the connection)
All three of my kids got to have a short turn, and all three loved it
The Oculus Quest really isn't made for people under 13 years old, and it shows when my kids were trying to use it
I invited my stepdad over to try it out, and it was a lot of fun to watch him play around with it and get very silly very quickly
The battery started to run low because I didn't charge it for very long before I got started, so that was a good excuse to plug it in and start putting my kids to bed
I can't wait to REALLY try this out after my kids are all in bed
One unexpected side effect that I've noticed so far: I think because the image refresh rates are so similar, when I stare at my phone (like I'm doing to write this post) I feel like I'm still experiencing the VR, and it's very surreal
Alright, those are all the updates for now, because I need to put my kids to bed. Anybody want to ask me any questions? Anything you think I should try or that you're curious about?
(P.S. I'm going to see if I can figure out the live streaming function once the kids are settled. We'll see how it goes.)
You rear back and punch the door instead.
...And immediately realize the ramifications of your actions.
Ow.
Luckily, you aren’t physically harmed by this. Your pride, on the other hand, has been fractured.
Margaret thinks this is stupid.
New Chapter of The Quest is on AO3!
Chapter 26, October 12th - October 18th, has been posted and can be found [here]!
What is the LiveBlog? It’s the Hobbit Liveblogs! Originally found at exileddurin and quiterespectablyyours, following Thorin Oakenshield and Bilbo Baggins during the events of the Quest to Erebor. The whole story is finished on Tumblr and is being copied to AO3 for easier readability.
I know it’s been a long time since the last chapter (like,,, a year and a half whoops) but I’ve finally gotten myself into a stable job and mental state and can tackle this again. I can’t guarantee a stable post date - just whenever I have time outside of work to work on it, that’ll be it. Forcing myself to stick to a weekly schedule last time outrageously stressed me out. But I hope y’all enjoy!!
BUNQUEST HAS FINALLY BEEN UPDATED!
Only took me forever... hopefully will be back on track now!

Before you even try, Margaret appears to try and stop you from doing it.
"You’ve already done that!" She says. “It didn’t work! The door can’t be harmed!”
“I tried the door, not the doorknob!” You exclaim.
“The doorknob is still part of the door,” Margaret insists. “The protection magic extends to it.”
You sigh. "Fine, fine. I see your point.”
...
........
The Command Number is 0016.
You mean the bag of plastic balls? Sure!
You not only cover up the mess of plastic spoons, but also the comic that was left stuck under the door.
....Hold on...
There! Perfect.
You are proud of your quick problem-solving skills.
Margaret, on the other hand, is not, and is increasingly growing concerned of your actions.
She doesn’t say anything, though. For now.
