Hiii so can u apply using the questbridge college match application and apply for ur perfered colleges that are questbridge partners through the common app? R is all seperate u just have to use one application?
Hi! So I’m actually not 100% sure about all of the process since I didn’t make finalist for QB (and it was a while ago so I’ve forgotten ^^”), but I believe that the application process works like this:
1.) Apply to the National College Match (you can find info here: https://www.questbridge.org/high-school-students/national-college-match/how-to-apply). This step is entirely through QB, and is due in early fall, so you really need to get your app together quickly.
most importantly, since you can’t throw it together yourself—recommendations!! If you’re not a senior yet, I suggest you ask in advance in your junior spring, like just a quick “I just wanted to ask you if you’d be comfortable writing me a recommendation for my applications next year?” If you want to, you can talk about QB and how the app is due especially early, i.e. end of September.
2.) Your application is reviewed. From here, you either make it to Finalist or you don’t.
Finalist: You apply through QB, but it might vary depending on the school. Please visit the website and look through the info for each school you’d be interested in ranking! You can find such info here: https://www.questbridge.org/college-partners.
Non-Finalist: You have the option to apply regular decision through QB (some schools may require Common App, others don’t… so you should check for the schools you’re interested in!) Otherwise, you can just apply EA/ED/RD as any other applicant would, without QB at all. I’d recommend considering applying RD through QB, because I’ve heard that schools will still extend very good financial aid through this route. (Although I don’t remember what source this was from and can’t seem to find it :/)
I wish you the very best of luck :) Let me know if I can help with anything else!
