Dissolution Spell

As we approach Yule and the darkest day of the year, allow the negative things that bind you to dissolve from your heart.

You Will Need

1. A bowl of saltwater

2. Paper cut into strips

3. A pen

Preparation

[Recommended for this spell] If it is part of your practice, cast a circle. As you sit with your ingredients before you, centre yourself. Ground yourself in the present moment by focusing on your breath, the sensations of your body, and your connection to the earth.

Casting

Write the things, emotions, and habits you wish to be rid of onto the paper and, one-by-one, put them in the saltwater. As you place each in, repeat with conviction:

Dissolve this now

Away from me

I work each day

To be free

When you are done drain off the saltwater and dump the papers--without touching them--into the rubbish bin.
