Qifrey and Olruggio getting called to the Great Hall because Coco beat up a kid. Beldaruit and the Knights are there with the 4 children and the poor boy who’s sporting a bruised cheek and a tissue up his nose. Coco has a bit of blood on the sleeve of her dress but is otherwise unscathed.
In fact, she doesn’t even look apologetic in the slightest. “I’m not saying sorry! He deserved it!”
“Coco…” Quifrey tries to calm his apprentice down. Not once under his care has Coco ever showed this level of anger before.
“You attacked my student for no reason! I will not stand for this! Violence in the Great Hall! Lord Beldaruit -“
“No! He called my Agott ugly! He said she was ugly and stupid and no one would want to be her friends!” Coco made a move towards the boy fists-raised, who quickly stepped back and hid behind his master’s cloak.
“It’s forbidden to use magic for violence but I didn’t use magic! I punched him in the face!”
“And I pushed him down!” Tetia chimed in.
“And I kicked him in the stomach when he fell down.” Richeh looked straight at Lord Beldaruit and her brother standing beside him.

I'm starting to realize I have a thing for adoptive father/found family tropes involving a man (who has some trauma) either unwillingly or fully willingly adopting a random ass kid or group of children with equal amounts, if not more trauma, than the dad.

Are the girls given allowances by Quifrey and Olruggio to buy things or do they just ask for it?
Because I honestly do not see it either adults having it in them to deny the girls things unless it’s a dangerous item.
