Hey hey, it's me again. The goofball that requested the surprise kisses.

Can I just say thank you? I know it was mentioned by someone else but you write about characters that aren't usually in spotlight and it's so refreshing to see that. Captain Unohana was not someone I expected but was pleasantly surprised to see written about!

If I can be selfish and request some of the Quincies, that would be amazing. But again, don't feel like you need to do this request asap or even at all. Just remember to drink some water, get yourself something nice and don't stop being awesome! A treat sounds awesome, I think I'm gonna get a banana rainbow shake later!

Hello again Anon! Thank you for your kind words!! ❤️❤️ I’m always happy to write for more popular characters (my master list on bleach is like 90% Shunsui). But, like with Pokemon, I know that any character can be someone’s fave! So if inspiration strikes or someone asks and I have an idea for them, I’m happy to write for lesser appreciated characters! I’m hesitant to do lesser known espada or Quincies but characters like Unohana, Iba, etc. I’m happy to take up the challenge!

I’m glad ya’ll have enjoyed my posts 🥰 I’ve only written for 2 Quincies before- Uryu and Yhwach! I feel like they’d all have similar or the same reactions when it comes to receiving surprises kisses so I’ll only focus on a handful who would have interesting or different reactions imo!

Quincies reacting to surprise kisses

Jugrum-

Jugo would only be surprised by a kiss if you did it from behind. That’s the only way you’d get him. Like he’s in his private quarters, just doing something ordinary like folding and putting clothes away. He leans down to put stuff away and you have a fiendish idea. As he rises back to full height, you wrap your arms around his waist and kiss between his shoulder blades. Jugo chuckled and pat your hands. He turned to face you before placing a gentle kiss to your forehead.

Bazz-B-

Probably one of the more affectionate Quincies as a whole. Like I don’t see many of them just casually kissing their partners except him. But for Bazz it’s probably more to either show off he has a partner or for a dominance thing. So you sneak in a kiss on his jaw in a meeting. Just a quick peck, nothing meant to be too distracting. But he goes RED. Other Quincies glance over, smirking or trying to suppress a laugh while the king keeps speaking. Bazz leans in close to your ear with his hands gripping your thigh.

“Babe, when we’re back in your room, I’m gonna teach you not to do that again.”

Uryu-

Probably the shyest/ most flustered reaction to a surprise kiss out of the Quincies. Uryu in the series does get flustered easily sooooooo… Uryu came back to the Wandenreich, beaten and bruised after his battle with Renji. You dress his wounds and clean off the dirt and grime. You press a reverent kiss to his palm once you tie off the bandage. Uryu’s cheeks flush pink as he looks away. But you can feel his heart racing.

Askin-

Acts smooth and cool but his hearts RACING underneath the facade. He’s not used to physical affection but because it’s coming from you, he’s just a puddle.

He’s talking to you one night in his private quarters during some down time. Askin just laying back, one hand behind his head while the other is wrapped around you. Your head in his chest, you decide to press a kiss to his pec. Askin stutters in surprise before mumbling

“I swear you’re my fatal flaw.”

Giselle-

She LOVES physical affection. Like a lot a lot. So Giselle’s just gonna love any kind of kisses, surprise or not! You both hide with Lill and Bazz-B as Yhwach siphons powers from his followers. Giselle huddles against you, her face buried in your shoulder. You kiss her head, trying to reassure her it’ll be ok. Unbeknownst to you, her cheeks are red as she rubs her head against your arm harder.

Day 8: Yhwach x reader

The chamber was silent but not lifeless.

Candles burned low against the walls, their flames trembling in the heavy air. Shadows crawled across the marble floor, touching upon glass cases that held delicate gowns, pearls strung with care, jeweled crowns that once adorned your head.

Yhwach stood in the center, motionless, his gaze fixed upon the largest portrait in the room.

You—forever captured in oil and canvas. Draped in a flowing white gown, the silk painted to shimmer like moonlight. Red roses bloomed around you, vivid and defiant against the pale serenity of your form. Your eyes, closed in that portrait, seemed to deny him the comfort of your gaze. A Queen of purity. The mother of Quincies. His once and only.

His hand clenched at his side. Ichibē. Even in death, that name festered like a wound. That monk had dared to strip you from this world—dared to take what even his father did not touch.

Yhwach’s lips moved, though no sound left him. He had spoken to this portrait countless times, as if the canvas might open its mouth and answer. As if you might scold him gently, laugh softly, place a hand upon his cheek as you once did.

But only silence answered.

He turned slowly, eyes drifting over the treasures sealed within this tomb of devotion. Dresses you once wore, folded with reverence. Pearls still faintly carrying the warmth of your skin. He had gathered it all here, every trace of you he could preserve, as if eternity itself could be bent to protect what Ichibē had stolen.

“Letting go…” he murmured. His voice was low, weary, breaking apart like ash in the wind. “They say time heals. But time bends to me, and still—it has done nothing.”

He pressed a hand against his chest, where the ache never ceased. He wanted to release you, to close the book of your story and return to his conquest without chains. Yet the very idea hollowed him out. To let you go would be to erase the last thread of warmth he still carried.

Father ..could see countless futures. But not one—not one—where he ceased to love you.

So he remained. In this chamber of relics and roses, Yhwach stood as both King and widower, chained not by enemy or fate, but by the echo of a love that death could not silence.

And still, he stared at the portrait.

Unable to stop.

Unable to let go.
