Just deleted half of my ibisPaint gallery and i have never felt this relieved. Finally getting rid of something i was never good at in the first place. Im returning to my fandoms, probably posting some drafts that were not hideous and actually looked like what they were supposed to look like, and thats gonna be it no new art. I hate drawing i hate my art i hate that i thought i was a good artist i hate my stupid fucking art gallery i hate it all i want it gone
Been rethinking everything.
Do I really want to be doing what I do..?
Do I want to be known as another shitty fanfiction writer?
I'm not creative enough to come up with anything original.
Sure I'm a decent artist. And I learned fairly quickly.
But do I want to be known as just another fanartist?
I think I'm going to postpone all of my projects indefinitely.
I just. Can't do this anymore.
I don't want to just be another shitty fanfic writer for the rest of my life.
And before some idiot comments something like "oh but i like your work, who cares if others don't. Don't listen to other people" its not other people who are discouraging me. It's me. This is the truth. I don't want to do this anymore. I.. I'm a failure I'm sorry...I hate myself..
I don't have the creative spark i thought I did.
Turns out I can't do anything for the life of me.
I'm sorry everyone. All 43 of my followers. And anyone who just happens to see this.
I can't do this. Maybe I'll try again some day. But for now. I'm done. It's over.
(3 of 4) "I don’t think there ever was a point I honestly wanted to quit art. Quieting the fear that I was not good enough, that I was never going to make it, that I should have chosen a different path and would forever dwell in my parents’ attic, yes. But actually never painting again? Art has always been such an elemental part of myself, I don’t think I could ever live without it.
Of course there are moments when you feel like nothing is working out and everything seems pointless. But what has lifted me out of every art low is knowing there is a story I want to tell with my art and my characters. And that’s what kept me pushing forward."

Since I'm quitting being artist on here & Twitter should I :
1.Stay here;
2.Leave;
3.Stay lurker;
4. Delete all art and just abandon account.
I work 12hr shifts and need to decide, but I'm struggling AF.
I'm quitting Twitter & Tumblr artist era. I barely get interactions, no interactions mean no reach which means no possibility of consistency if I want to take commissions. I have two comms to do and then leaving. Drawing isn't making me happy much and I have other things to do.
Quitting Art
It's been about a couple months now that I've quit art, though I didn't call it "quitting" until just a couple days ago.
I started calling myself an artist around 9 years old, though I had started sketchbooks earlier than that. I was inspired by some of my first animes like AOT, as a lot of artists are, and fantasy stories like LOTR. I remember back then I thought I would never quit. I imagined my entire future pursuing art.
Now, about 11 or so years later, I can't bring myself to create. Even just a couple months ago I was still saying, "I can't imagine ever quitting". I graduated high school back in June, and my school required us to do a big project about our future as a graduation requirement, and I did mine entirely about art and how I wanted to open an art studio to teach lessons and such in the future. I genuinely had this planned out for my entire future.
However, my drawing tablet started goofing on me, and my traditional art wasn't looking good, and I just didn't feel fulfilled anymore. The thing that once took up my entire life now felt empty. I used to draw every single day but now I didn't want to at all.
I probably will return, it's inevitable, but for now I feel so lost and aimless. I'm thinking maybe I became burnt out, or maybe my depression got worse and it became hard to enjoy it, or maybe I'm just stressed over some life stuff going on. Whatever it is, I'm hoping it passes. I don't ever want to fully fully quit.
