Varian's age
Normally, Disney ignores a characters age in order to have them do what they do without much question or issue. Keeping it vague. But with Varian his age perfectly stays front and center for me. His actions, and reactions. The show constantly reminds you Varian, surprisingly, is still a child.
Yes, he argues hes not with his dad. Which is something a 14-15 year old dose.
-His crush on Casandra. Before his evil turning is extremely played off like a kid trying to be smooth.
-his emotional reactions...his unwillingness to take blame for things that are at least somewhat his fault.
-And something I missed the first time, but when he stumbles upon his dad all frozen in his crying he still calls Quirin 'daddy".
To me it seems like the show is consistently reminding you of his age to keep sympathy in this dark time. I really hope the King keeps this in mind as well. (Starting to think he's not a good king but that's another post)
Me asking the important questions.

Just my loser characters as ME aliens. Kana was originally going to be a Krogan, but all that came to mind was Wrex wearing a blonde wig so yeah that didn't pan out.
It takes me way too long to do simple lineart sob.
