Playing through mhstories in prep for the new game and felt really inspired by the chunky little baby models you get when you first hatch monsties <3.

Can we see a photo of the qurupeco in the bird wyvern header on your patreon please? Or is that one patreon only? I love qurupeco! I used it in stories 1 and 2 and recently got gifted tri and I love its lil dances and how it smacks its hands together and jumps when it fights and crimson qurupeco is even cooler because of that quest with the devijho showing up

Hello peeps, here is another badge of monsties! I kinda thought of trying to draw all big monsters from the franchise and looked on how many there are… its over 240 including all the subspecies and variations… I probably wont be able to do archieve this goal but I will try to get as many as possible. Next week will be Monster hunter wilds release and I my plan is to draw the new big monsters one after the other(and of course on the side some of the classic ones)

Anyway here are Qurupeco, Kulu Ya-Ku, Mizutsune and Malfestio. They are some of my favorite Monsters and yeah I am a big bird enjoyer! I also started to color the old monsters I already drew so that I can show finished pieces.

Singing trickster bird~

I intended to draw Qurupeco for this year's Valentines taking inspiration from the fact that MH Tri Ultimate itself had a Heart+Qurupeco themed wallpaper!...you may notice this is done waaaaay after Valentines though and that's entirely on me omfg I had to drag myself forward on this project clawing the ground but I did it finally,,,

I still finished it during February so I count it as a win on my end! So here's heart Qurupeco and heart Crimson Qurupeco, finally. (...is it just me or Crimson Quru really is more pink than crimson in both the mainline and Stories games...)

That makes it 3 monster illustrations I've made with Lagiacrus, Ceadeus and Qurupeco, and I hope to draw more of the Tri monsters (but for the sake of my wrist...it will be for another time).

I'm just fond for the monster designs of Tri and Qurupeco is no exception. I read somewhere that in Japan, Yian Kut-ku still is the crowd favorite of beginner Bird Wyvern enemies, and Kut-ku definitely has a way easier design to draw...but I love Qurupeco, it has such a rascal attitude and has both adorable aspects (colorful plumage) as well as disconcerting ones (fangs lining the beak).

Crimson Quru also gets additional cuteness points for having stripes on its cheek! And it is quite an unforgettable memory to play the Event Quest that pits you against a smaller C. Quru if memory serves, but one that is guaranteed to summon a Savage Deviljho and will abuse that privilege lol.
