I’ve mentioned before how unhelpful I am in the Dad bloggers Facebook group. Here’s another example.
Glad to see John Kinnear of Ask Your Dad jumped on the thread and ran with it.
(By the way, don't be confused by the identical profile pics. A bunch of us dad bloggers are doing it to show support for a mutual friend who lost a family member.)
I love giving things to people. I genuinely love seeing the smiles on the recipient's face, seeing them smile as I made their day or showed them that someone does indeed care about them.
Big or small, I try to give things to people if I can. Friends, family, acquaintances... I want to give them something.
On the flipside, I hate getting gifts. I feel like I'm undeserving of them and that the person should go ahead and spend their money on friends and family.
I don't know why I feel that way, but I do. I've had moments where I told one of my friends, no I can't accept this. They asked me why and I told them I just can't accept it. I don't feel right taking something that you bought with your own money. Your money could have been better spent on things you wanted to treat yourself or towards someone else besides me.
So.... I love giving gifts and making people happy, but I can't accept gifts without sputtering and handing them back.
I have frequent moments on a website where me and a friend just toss a gift between one another. I normally win.

On my essay due tomorrow. However, my mind is drifting off towards PravanXFemJK as well as some short little drabbles with Vulmyss and Zalkia.
