Revisited Reinhard’s Intro and this caught my attention.
We distinctly have Reinhard entering the alley with his hand on the Sword there clearly ready to use it instead of it being tucked at the back.
That doesn’t seem unusual until you get later context from Arc 5 where Reinhard in the face of a confirmed Archbishop (that being Regulus) doesn’t enter the battle with a hand casually resting on his Sword.
In this very Arc when later dealing with Elsa, Reinhard will never once put a hand on the Sword either. He’ll give exposition during that little saga on how the Sword only draws those it’s worthy against so one could take that as his justification one may say as to why he didn’t touch it yes?
However, the red flag here is that he doesn’t even flash the Sword at Elsa in some kind of deterrence like he did to Rachins & Co here despite Reinhard obviously trying to get Elsa to surrender multiple times. So this causes a question. Why did Reinhard flash it here then?
I think there is actually a possible likelihood the Sword can draw against Subaru and that is what is being hinted at for Reinhard to have it actively ready to draw here, when later he will not touch it in the face of Elsa.
In the interest of furthering my analysis, I revisited LN 1 to see this scene with a focus on analyzing Reinhard’s positioning with the Sword.
Reinhard will not draw his Sword notably upon immediately entering the alleyway it seems unlike the Anime and does it after engaging in some more dialogue w/ Rachins & Co where he puts a hand on it.
The extremely curious thing however is you carefully notice, Reinhard’s hand never ONCE is mentioned to be leaving the Sword even when Rachins & Co leave meaning whilst speaking to Subaru, Reinhard still has the thing having his hand solidly on it.
We only get this alleviated by Reinhard spreading “both his arms” in the final snippet here after he’s talked slightly with Subaru as though sussing him out.
If Reinhard felt threatened enough by Subaru he needed to keep a handle on the Sword, it’s clearly pretty noteworthy given he did not feel this same sense of alarm when it came to confirmed Archbishop Regulus over there.
Regulus distinctly did not have the Sword being able to be drawn for him, so I think this does add to the possibility that Subaru may actually be able to qualify for the drawing of the Sword which is one reason that Reinhard is so wary of Subaru this convo the other obviously being the whole asking after Emilia thing whilst oozing miasma.
Plus if my allegations of Reinhard having some kind of idea of the Future is true via his connection to Fate, the sheer amount of possibilities sparking around Subaru that Reinhard would be able to pick up would be ludicrous which surely would add to his alarm.
Huzzah! I know I’m not caught up. But. Arc 10 is starting and I have been teasing a thread about my predictions for the Arc, so here it is.
Of course, I could totally be wrong on all of these mind you. However. It would be extremely funny to me if I was able to predict good chunks of how an Arc is going to go and I literally don’t know wth happens in the 4 Arcs that precede it.
Plus. It would be also be fun (to me atleast) to have a permanent record predicting how an Arc’s gonna go without it having been written yet as something I’ve done if I’m right. Would truly cement my place as being in tune with Tappei’s incomprehensible noggin.
Anyways. Aside from that intro. Basically, one plot point is I believe Kadomon is a Six Tongue Agent. If anybody would like specific details of scenes with prose & commentary of me reacting in real time to theorycrafting on why I think that, the featured tags has a tag on this theory. But basically.
Kadomon in Arc 1’s Final Loop overhears Subaru speak of doing things multiple times and talking about saving Satella.
A thread of the scene with screenshots of that scene I am talking about if you’d like to glimpse at it yourself will be linked in the replies of this post, because it is unfortunately not letting me insert it here unlike most imbeds which work perfectly fine.
Another thing is Russell (aka whom Kadomon would work for) is in LN 7 is given a Phone.
A Phone which clearly, does NOT do what Subaru says it does, which will naturally of course make Russell want to look more into who conned him. Subaru will have 0 background prior to his 1st day in the Capitol, which will naturally raise alarms for the guy because wtf? He’s a CIA director. How is he not finding some commoners info???
This plotpoint of Russell being sus at Subaru’s lack of background is something the story indicated, with how sus Subaru’s lack of background is in the Heroic Tale From Zero SS, where below is a thread where I cover how shady this is.

This suspicion of Subaru from Russell will get worse as Subaru’s acts in Arc 3 (specifically the Sloth expedition) would look miraculous that there is 0 causalities. However, Russell will have his buddy Kadomon tell him about the utterance of Subaru being able to do things over multiple times. This, of course, would suddenly make shit make a LOT of sense for Russell.
Unfortunately, if it were mere time travel, Russell may be weary of Subaru but not antagonistic as what next points I’m going to bring imply.
In LN 9, there is a one liner Felix drops about Kety once he’s captured about getting him transferred to the Royal Capitol, which you can see here.

This Kety fellow is that finger whom blew up the caravans in Arc 3. This is the same Kety whose internal monologue thought of Subaru as a “traitor” and clearly can detect miasma from him as shown here.

If Russell interrogates the guy (as is heavily implied to be something that will occur since Felix said he was sending Kety to the Capitol and they should treat him as a “precious source of information”) then Kety will basically blab about Subaru having Archbishop lvl Miasma and shit like being a former Cult member since that’s currently what Kety believes with the whole “traitor” remark his internal narration showed.
This would, obviously, alarm the hell out of Russell given the earlier statement of Satella Kadomon would pass along to Russell as having been a thing Subaru said. I don’t know Arc 6-9 events, but surely whatever feats Subaru accomplishes likely have more shady shit to help Russell along in being wary of Subaru.
Moving on from that. There is some commentary in Felt-chan’s Job I covered where Felt talks about Rom speaking of a “wall” people can walk through as one feat of magic alongside “flying clowns” and “talking mirrors” which we know the last two exist, so the first one exists too I logically assume, and I speculate is how Rom maybe got into the Castle Perimeter prior to using the catacombs which the demi-humans built allegedly back in the day according to Ex 2.
I dunno if the Cult or the Candidates would use this way to break into the Castle (alongside the Catacombs helping them break in too) but it smells of foreshadowing to me.

Likely that Capella entices him by saying she can cure Crusch, and Felix knows that not true, but he’s so mentally fucked that he chooses to persist in the delusion and goes along with what he views to be the best way to save Crusch no matter the consequences.
Something else I’d like to predict is Roswaal VS Marcos occurring since we have Marcos in LN 4’s Epilogue blatantly pondering wth Roswaal was up to & considering him sketch, and then here-

I’m wondering if this is a result of high proficiency in Earth Magic or due to a DP which as
-I go into how Marcos has the perfect skillset to fight Roswaal with and not get instantly folded & thus actually pose a serious problem, because Subaru needs Roswaal’s scrawny ass around, so Marcos will become a sort of Antagonist for the Emilia Camp despite doing the morally correct thing which would be to go after Roswaal.
In the event Marcos does kill Roswaal, I believe Roswaal would transfer into Annerose and that could become something only Subaru is aware of as he has to conspire together w/ Roswaal behind the Camps’s back (since obviously a fair amount of the members may just straight up want to drop Roswaal at that point for another Sponsor if they knew Roswaal was still alive, let alone the horrifying fact he did just kill Annerose in exchange for living whom is a child they’re all fond of) in an effort to help “Annerose” secure her place as the New Camp Sponsor in the wake of a political clusterfuck for the Camp given Roswaal may be accused of treason.
Heck, Subaru may see it as the only viable option for Sponsorship since if Roswaal is publicly condemned & executed for treason, no Noble is going to want to touch the Emilia Camp with a 50 ft pole despite the legendary achievements.
Comparatively, Annerose will look like a fresh slate to outsiders looking in since she’s a child so surely she wasn’t involved with Roswaal’s dealings.
And speaking of Roswaal’s dealings and treason… what Roswaal may be accused of is knowing of the Royal Families Deaths in advance somehow potentially. We had Russell Fellow in King Selection Part 2 blatantly question Roswaal to his face if he somehow knew of the Families’s demise prior to it actually happening.
Russell will talk himself out of that line of logic since Roswaal sponsoring Emilia didn’t make sense to him if Roswaal wanted to take the Throne and had pre-knowledge.
Keep in mind however, this convo occurs BEFORE the existence of Subaru Natsuki coming into the world. Russell’s opinion may have drastically changed due to his knowledge of Subaru Natsuki and Russell seeing his Time Traveller ass clearly being devoted to Emilia only.
It’s not a stretch for Russell to then surmise that if Roswaal was aware of future events, obviously he’d nab Emilia because that gave him access to a Time Traveller. Russell in that convo during King Selection Part 2 distinctly wasn’t writing Roswaal off as stupid for sponsoring Emilia & believed the man had a plan. This would all perfectly explain everything to Russell.
Anywaaaaays, other stuff now. Something else is potentially Raksha (Kadomon’s wife) being a sort of mini-boss for Subaru or something akin to that during the Arc, here’s the thread down below which has me getting into that possibility.

I also predict some kind of Main Story Content for Fourier to have fairly significant relevance, because Marcos will be active this Arc, and here-

-we can see how Marcos def seemed fairly close with Fourier (so his dynamic with Fourier may be explored in a theoretical Marcos Named Chapter) and obviously the Royal Family plotline & Capella’s ties to them are likely to get addressed.
On the Royal Family, Capella’s obviously going to have a big role in an Arc centered in the Royal Capitol given her clear ties to them.
It is very likely Tappei will reveal the fact Capella has the Lion King Intuition as he foreshadowed in Ex 1 (which I’ll leave a link in the replies to the post of me discussing this w/ the screenshot of it because Tumblrs being a little twit again and not letting me imbed it) that was a high likelihood of something which Capella had.
Given the title of the Arc, it also lends credence to this possibility since Capella is likely to be the main antagonist. It could also be referencing Felt however maybe becoming the Ruler prior to the selections end given her Royal status & the fact she does hold the Lion King Intuition so the whole “Land of the Lion King” shtick would make sense if she wins since Lugunica would be Felt’s land.
Also. Miklotov is our source for getting an insight into this Lion King possibility for Capella, so it is likely to be him whom reveals such a thing to the cast & thus audience. Though, it of course could be someone else whom susses it out on their own.
Since we’re on Miklotov, let’s discuss his shady ass. I’m gonna have a thread linked in the replies w/ more detail, but in essence Miklotov does seem tied to Fate in a way that isn’t normal for an individual and seems aware that great tumult lies in the future with his desperate search for the Lion King Intuition even when everything is fine.
Also. Admittedly? Parsing out his opinion of our MC Subaru is tough to me. In LN 4 Miklotov clearly admired the guys loyalty to Emilia & was even genuinely impressed by it contrary to everybody else in that chamber. However, if Russell informs Miklotov about the things he’s uncovered it could certainly make Miklotov not as friendly to Subaru in how he thinks of the guy.
There is also the fact whatever feats Subaru is bound to do in Arcs 6-9 probably would play a part in Miklotov’s view of Subaru (and subsequent wariness of him) but I don’t quite know what occurs in those Arcs thus I can’t exactly try piecing together what Miklotov may think of certain things Subaru has done.
Moving back to sadistic lady, another thing on Capella is I believe we will have Tappei confirm the peculiar missing letter in Arc 4 was her doing and I discuss the supporting evidence for such a possibility in a thread I will unfortunately have to link below again in the replies because Tumblr is screwing me over lmao.
But to basically sum it up in its bare bones essence if one doesn’t want prod the whole thing.
Capella has the necessary path to gain intel on the letter & the necessary skillset to be undetected coupled with her potential LN 3 appearance (which I discuss in more detail in the thread chillin’ in the replies) showcasing that Tappei has a trend of making Capella appear and work in the background with regards to meddling with the Emilia Camp even as the audience would have 0 awareness of her at the time of these incidents.
And also since this is Capella. I’d be remiss to dismiss the possibility of her infiltrating the Cast as a possibility that occurs given her ability to transform. That scenario is going to be curious in that Capella’s appearance did 100% match for Al’s desires but not for Subaru, so she could have slight defects in her disguise or it could be absolutely perfect.
Whatever the case, Capella probably will get unveiled by her acting (despite her being somewhat competent at it whilst being a transformed child) inevitability failing because she is one sadistic women.
Since we’re on the topic of the Royal Family. Let me speak of its infamous kidnapped princess. Felt’s casually got War Criminal Valga Cromwell (who massacred countless humans & relatives who remember their loved ones deaths) in her Camp.
Ain’t no way some of the Nobles who dislike her aren’t gonna expose that scandalous bit of info in an effort to sink her campaign by making her support amongst the populace get set into chaos.
Some other stuff regarding Felt is how we see her ponder about Patrol Guards (in a thread I’ll link below in the replies the origin of my musing of cause Tumblr is being shit again with insertion) with the way she describes these patrol guards and how they felt highly skilled to her made me ponder if some of the Patrol Guards weren’t actually that and were Six Tongue Agents.
If this is true, that gives Russell a lot of influence in the city on a martial lvl without anybody realizing it and the guy may do some bad things to the cast who’d likely trust the guards.
Final prediction now. I’ve heard Rickert Hoffman is also due to get a Named Chapter, so likely Rachins will be relevant that means, and Rachins in Felt SS’s has been mentioned to have worked for Russell for a bit previously as a person who did errands for Russell alongside Gaston & Chamberley prior to them all joining the Felt Camp, which you can see the thread with a screenshot of that in the replies since it will not let me insert it here.
Perhaps one of these errands was message ferrying Rachins & Co did, and these ferried messages would’ve been a request from Russell to his network to ferret out info on Subaru Natsuki whom at the time of those ferried messages, would’ve been made just after Subaru made his big splash at the Royal Selection Conference defending Emilia.
This same Emilia Subaru defends looks like Satella 2.0, the name of which Kadomon would’ve told Russell Subaru is familiar with by this point, and Subaru defends Emilia in a way that Miklotov acknowledges made everybody view Emilia in a better light, making Subaru’s outburst potentially seem like a calculated play of a manipulator from Russell’s POV that Subaru did to propel his Candidate.
This idea of Subaru being a manipulator to Russell would further get compounded on in Subaru’s actions post-Conference as in the true timeline, from Russell’s POV it suddenly looks like this shady dude that has connections to Satella suddenly got Anastasia & Crusch together to fight the Whale, conned Russell with a meteor of unknown origin (and the Cult is famous for having relics people don’t understand) that didn’t do what was advertised.
Theeeeen, Subaru miraculously kills the Whale whilst somehow knowing its location despite the fake meteor (and the Whale is connected to the Cult it’d be reported after the expedition most likely) before going on to kill Sloth with no causalities which earlier in this thread I mentioned would make Russell sus by virtue of the time looping aspect of no casualties & figuring out Subaru can loop but.
It would also of course make Russell sus if Subaru maybe was a Cultist at some point given what I’ve just pointed out here about Subaru propelling Satella 2.0 when Subaru has a clear tie to Satella Kadomon overheard.
Plus, the fact that Subaru seemed to know how Petelgeuse & the Cultists moved (which people on the expedition would report) when NOBODY IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD understood how the Cult moves & then also the Kety “traitor” remarks Russell would learn of I delved into earlier + Kety telling Russell Subaru has Archbishop lvl Miasma.

-I broke down the logic of why Reinhard would do such a small little white lie and dude is not beating my thoughts there with how he is in this scene taking place now.
Reinhard also immediately pondering if Subaru was the whom summoned him showcases that for all Reinhard is usually put into the box of solely being brawn the dude can think and make logical deductions.
Anyhow. I do presume tho the way Reinhard assesses Sirius is a Sin Archbishop so readily is the amount of miasma she must be oozing to him + blatantly wearing Cult robes. So not crazy he picked up that real quick.
What is odd Reinhard picks up & clarifies is that it’s merely the idea of Sirius’s existence that causes one to be ensnared by the Authority primarily rather then the senses even if the senses accelerate the process.
Does Reinhard just… pick it up via a DP? Or is something about the way Sirius’s Authority in how it interacts with Reinhard not normal in how it latches onto his mind? Reinhard does blatantly have much more abnormal ways of expressing emotion and peculiar thought patterns.
Anywaaays. The last bit to address here is Reinhard saying he’d fall under her influence given time and like. I dunno how true that is? This is unreliable narrator Reinhard speaking with regards to himself afterall.
I guess you could argue his idle comment on the chains being frustrating and killing Sirius despite the crowd chanting kill could be due to having been under the Authority slightly and that is proof Reinhard isn’t unreliable with his view on his capabilities here?
But I do feel taking Reinhard solely at his word on this is a bit of a silly thing so idk. Kinda on the fence. Because I feel Reinhard def could’ve done those 2 things I mentioned above even without the idea of Sirius’s Authority influencing him.
Of course as soon as Subaru reunites with Reinhard he is checking out this dudes “handsome face” lol.
I do want to remark upon something else here now. Subaru firmly still seems to classify Reinhard as a Hero in this mind this scene displays. Subaru does see Reinhard more authentically then most so it’s noteworthy to me. Perhaps this assessment from Subaru will change when he sees the family drama and Reinhard’s struggles?
Anyhow. It’s funny narration is classifying Subaru as an “ordinary person” looking upon a Hero when Subaru himself is objectively a Hero & most definitively NOT an ordinary person.
Reinhard really out here just proclaiming he dislikes his job lmao. Of course, it’s in his Reinhard way of self-deprecation + polite words but still.
Subaru with his narration is describing Reinhard in a lowkey homoerotic way ngl. Especially that “extraordinary good looks” bit. I have seen future screenshots where it’s waaaay worse then this, but I think it’s worthy of a mention since this is first thought along those lines so far.
Poor Chin & Gang though. They go up to rob some weird as hell looking foreigner then the Sword Saint pulls up on them casually. That must’ve been the worst day ever.

Reinhard having an angelic face is comical in contrast to how utterly furious Felt looks at being in some over the top prissy dress for the 1st time. The dress is really well done here in how unnatural it looks on Felt.

Reinhard’s face is immaculate in response to Felt doing a whole speech to Chin & co on how this country is gonna get wrecked by her trampling it.
