People who don't know how racism was invented are so funny. Like this whole differentiation is based on a deliberate supremacist system such that you can't simply have a preference separate from it. Maybe if we were living in a fantasy world where racism was never invented 🌠 but then it wouldn't be based on race anyway 🤔
Karamo: "You're not alone" - Racism in the Gay Community | Queer Eye: We're in Japan!
The Fab Five touch down in Tokyo to spread the joy, explore the culture, and help four Japanese men and women find the confidence to be themselves.
It’s fine for people to have a type, and I don’t think absolutely everybody has to be open to being with Asian men, but it’s hard not to see the connection between this attitude and the commonly held belief that Asian men are inherently undesirable.
White gays, I don’t need to know you to know what you do... you exclude men of color for whatever fuckass white reason you are a fucking racist piece of shit and I will call you that every time.
This isn’t about wanting white dick, this about right and wrong. If you have in racist ways you will be called a racist...
FYI
If you knowingly post or reblog pics of white celebrities who use racial slurs and or engaged in black/brown/yellow/redface or are otherwise overtly racist unfollow me and please don’t reblog anything from my page.
Non-black people of color if you similarly knowingly engage in or endorse anti-blackness please move on.
Non-racist white gay men not posting men of color because of your preference is racist if you do it and intend to continue then get the fuck from round me. Also, just because you post people of color doesn’t inoculate you from being racist. I also have to be open to changing my perception and checking my privileges, if you resent even being asked or aren't open to change then you can also get the fuck from round me.
Thank you!
Racial Preferences, Racial Fetishisation, Cultural Appreciation vs Cultural Appropriation and Cultural Exchange (Part 3)
Cultural Exchange: Cultural exchange refers to the mutual sharing and interaction of cultural elements between different groups, often with the goal of fostering understanding, appreciation, and cooperation. Unlike cultural appropriation, which can involve taking elements from one culture without proper understanding or respect, cultural exchange emphasises a more collaborative and reciprocal approach to learning about and sharing aspects of various cultures.
Key features of cultural exchange include:
Mutual Interaction: Cultural exchange involves a two-way interaction where individuals or groups from different cultures actively engage with each other. It is characterised by a give-and-take dynamic, fostering a mutual sharing of ideas, traditions, and experiences.
Shared Learning: Participants in cultural exchange are interested in learning from each other. This can include sharing cultural practices, traditions, languages, art, music and other aspects, with the goal of broadening perspectives and deepening cultural understanding.
Respectful Engagement: Cultural exchange is rooted in respect for the cultural context and sensitivity to the values and traditions of the participating groups. It emphasizes understanding and appreciating cultural differences without diminishing or appropriating them.
Open Dialogue: An important aspect of cultural exchange is open and respectful communication. Participants engage in dialogue, ask questions, and share their own perspectives to create an environment of understanding and appreciation.
Cross-Cultural Collaboration: Cultural exchange often involves collaboration on various projects, initiatives, or events. This collaborative approach fosters a sense of partnership and shared responsibility.
Promotion of Diversity: Cultural exchange contributes to the promotion of diversity by recognising and celebrating the uniqueness of each culture involved. It encourages a celebration of differences and similarities alike.
Building Connections: Through cultural exchange, individuals and communities build connections and establish relationships. These connections can lead to increased cultural awareness, improved intercultural communication, and the development of global networks.
Consent and Voluntariness: In cultural exchange, participation is typically voluntary and there is a shared agreement to engage in the exchange. This stands in contrast to cultural appropriation, where elements may be taken without consent.
Overall, cultural exchange fosters positive connections between people from different backgrounds, promotes cross-cultural understanding and contributes to building a more interconnected and harmonious global community.
This video is very interesting and informative. It appears that the most desired race for women when it comes to dating and romantic preferences is White men. On the other hand, the most desired race for men when it comes to dating and romantic preferences is WOC (Middle Eastern, Asian and Latina). How times have changed. This proves that statistically speaking, WOC (Middle Eastern, Asian, Latina, mixed race) are becoming more and more desired romantic partners for men than non-WOC and White women.
Edit: My Dad, who is a non Hispanic White man, is a prime example of this trend of men preferring WOC. My Dad has never been attracted to or romanticallt/sexually attracted to White women in his life and he’s admitted this to me. All the women that he finds attractive and beautiful have been WOC of all races. My Dad fell in love with my mom who is a Multiracial Hispanic WOC who is brown and my Dad’s second wife (my stepmother) is Korean and Black (Blasian mix). This is just an example of the trend that is going on and how it has gradually been changing over the years in regards to what men find attractive when it comes to ethnicity and race.
