“Here’s the thing a wise man once said, ‘The opposite of love is not hate, its indifference.’ And Loki is not indifferent to Thor. He hates him. And in order to hate someone, you must still, therefore, love them. So I think there is, somewhere down the line, the possibility of redemption for him, because he is just in real need of self-esteem.” - Tom Hiddleston
^I found that pic, and the quote in two different places, so I’m not sure which is correct (or, given internet sources, whether it’s Tom Hiddleston’s quote at all) but it’s a powerful statement, whoever said it.
The opposite of love is not hate, its indifference.

Thor starts receiving this onslaught standing up. Then he has to lie down.
Well, in that case I’ll cease my meager attempts and wait for the really good stuff!

Further “being able to take it” (where “it” is unnecessary aggression by a rude and untrained animal) has nothing to do w/ being a good dog (or a good human citizen).
I have seriously never been closer to hitting a woman in all my life. “woman” she was like 18 probably but I don’t care.

Which fic?
This one, again. It’s the CP fic I’ve been crying over for months pretty much. So beautiful, but so heartbreaking!

Am I the only one who wants to know more about the Moomin fanfic?
Haha I remember writing it after my birthday into the diary I got as a present. It was based on an episode with the Antlion and I think I had Moomin rescue Snorkmaiden from its claws :D But I never finished it because my mom sent me to bed.

How is Westworld? I've heard good things about The Crown and I want to watch it.
Westworld is really insteresting! It has a cool concept and a really great cast. I don't remember seeing Anthony Hopkins give a shit about his role like this since the first Thor. He's fun to watch when he's giving an actual performance. I'm also really into stories about androids and AI so that's my favorite part about Westworld. The Crown is also worth a watch!

FFIX is my favourite FF ever!
It's a lovely game and I do enjoy it way more than I initially did. I especially like Freya and Eiko and the Moogles. And the worldmap music is so soothing!

FFIX was my first two! I really like the first 2.5 discs (the point at which the story and the world seemed to take a drastic shift). Lol, yes, I’m not surprised you want Kuja to get plowed a field; he looks like a distant cousin of Intersex/Erring-on-the-feminine Jotun!Loki. I also really liked the story in FFX (especially the religion–I’m a sucker for writing religion into a game/story in an interesting way).
Lol you're not wrong about Kuja xD And yeah, I'm not even going to pretend that isn't a huge reason why I find the character appealing. Also, yes, I loved FFX! It's one of the best games in the series imo and I still remember how in awe I was of the graphics and the voice acting when it first came out. Religion has always played a big part in the FF series and it was especially interesting in FFX and it was cool to get to see it on a personal level in the conflict between Wakka and Rikku.

Curious bun: Did you ever play FFIX? If so, how do you think it compared to FF8??? And I forgot about your scale bbies
I did play FF9 the moment it came out! And I remember my teenage self was a bit disappointed in it after FF8 with its hot protagonist and realistic character design. FF8 was also my introduction to Final Fantasy (I didn't play FF7 until later) so I didn't have any nostalgia for the previous games which FF9 clearly pays homage to. I was annoyed about the character design and the lack of a new OTP to ship, but I've changed my mind about FF9 over the years. My adult self thinks it's a wonderful game and I really appreciated the story and the world when I replayed the remaster a couple of years ago. I also ship Zidane/Kuja and want Kuja to be fucked until he can't walk straight lol.

i do the podcast thing too! but now every time i want to causally listen to one in the middle of the day i get sleepy :P
Haha yeah, I have that same problem. It's like I've been conditioned to get sleepy and the only time I'm 100% alert while listening to a book or a podcast is when I do it while I'm jogging.
