The Very Best is one of those projects that I think everyone needs to be aware of. Its a collaboration between London-based DJ/production duo Radioclit and Esau Mwamwaya, a singer from Lilongwe, Malawi

I've always been quite fond of The Very Best, a duo based out of London formed by producer Radioclit and Malawi singer Esau Mwamwaya. In fact, I'm rather fond of African influenced music in general. There's something so beautiful and enchanting about the melodies, the instruments, and the rhythms. The Very Best dropped a new video and song today, named Hear Me, and it's one of the most exquisite things I've heard all day. Hear Me features Chris Baio of Vampire Weekend on bass. And it's all very magical, launching me far, far away from this little office room and this decrepit desk. The Very Best will have a new album out next spring, recorded in Malawi.
