[BREAKING + UPDATED] RAINBOW Disbands after 7 Years + Members Will Travel Together

Bad news for RAINNOUS and DSP stans

It has been announced that DSP Media’s currently most senior girl group and underrated queens RAINBOW will be disbanding after 7 years. The group was known for their Top 10 hits such as “A”, “To Me” and “Sweet Dream” as well as being the only 2nd gen girl group with no member changes during the group’s run (all the members are really close with each other). 

Unfortunately, the group never placed 1st during its 7 years, even though members like Jaekyung, Woori, Yoonhye and Jisook all found solo success in acting, variety shows and MC-ing.

"The contract with Rainbow, who've been with DSP Media for the past 7 years, is coming to an end on November 12, 2016. DSP Media had a thorough discussion about future promotions with Rainbow's Jaekyung, Woori, Jisook, No Eul,Seung Ah, Yoonhye, and Hyunyoung, and unfortunately, they decided to go their separate ways. We hope Rainbow will be remembered with a bright and positive image, like the 7 shining colors of a Rainbow. We will also support and encourage the girls' new promotions and futures. We sincerely appreciate those who loved Rainbow for the past 7 years. Please support for the members' new beginnings."

We wish all the members the best of luck in their future endeavours!

[UPDATE] All the members will be heading to Bangkok for a 10-day trip starting November 11th. This is not the first time RAINBOW members have travelled together for the LOLs and once again shows how tight they are and will continue to be even after going to different companies.

I just got back from spending a week off the grid at a rainbow gathering in Vermont!!! there is truly Too Much to blog about but I met so many people and made so many new friends & memories!! it was sooo wonderful and I had an amazing time but I’m very glad to be home! so yeah that’s why I disappeared from my blog for a whole week without saying anything, regular content will resume shortly!!! loving y'all!

Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow Boots

I worked on these purple @converse XX Hi boots on and off for a little while in between commissions and other personal projects, I only decided to buckle up and finish them properly when we got our tickets for the Rainbow 2016 show in Birmingham. Sometimes for concerts I like to embellish my outfit for the evening with something a tad over the top and/or silly so this suited me down to the ground. 

As more details about the concerts emerged, it seemed like the Dio era was going to be the main focus so I chose the first two albums for the boots. (Not just that but they’re quite fun covers to mess around with for custom merch purposes). 

I drew the details in with a Pentel Gel Fabric Liner (really wish they didn’t discontinue them, they’re great!) and painted with Marabu Textil fabric paints.
