hey, i dont know if youve seen this aleeady but on next i saw two people with ultra rare baby cows with rainbow sequins, a rainbow tail, green eyes, and a discoball pet patch. it seems like they might be the next redemption pet, seeing as neither set of parents had its genetics listed like regular babies, and both cows looked identical...

I’m half tempted to make another video because this is such bullshit. Like I get it, they probably already had this plush ordered and couldn’t just toss it, HOWEVER. They totally could change how they sold them. Just don’t add it to the pool for redemption pets and release it another way, simple. The way they talk about how this is just a “surprise mechanic” is awful. No one likes the redemption pets, even people who love breeding.

I covered this a bit in the live stream I did, but people who spend lots of money on this game are pissed at redemption pets. Them and their kids are sparking like 7th generation super rares, excited to see what they get and boop! Another rainbow dog. They hate it. They keep getting these damn pets. People who actually want them have to pay out the ass to try and get the opportunity to purchase a plush while people who just wanna spark babies keep getting these unwanted pets. Some are being real cool about it and selling the plush for the $30 to those who want it, but at the end of the day, neither party liked this system. I wonder if the backlash is why they haven’t publicly shown it off and are hoping it flies by under the radar, but if that’s the case, then maybe change your system?

I still stand by what I said about it being predatory. This video talks about some studies with lootboxes and “surprise” mechanics that I think is worth the watch.

Overall, the plush... Lots of people think it’s dumb and not unique enough to be a redemption pet. I’m kinda in agreement, although I do like the design more than the other plush we currently have. I think it looks okay for what it is. Still has nothing on the chocolate milk cow, though.
