James Zhao, a massively popular thirty-year-old social media influencer, sent the message. He was a slender, angular man standing five foot nine inches tall and weighing 133 pounds. He had a square-jawed face with thin lips and a birdlike nose. The tips of his spiky temple fade haircut were dyed purple; a lavender metal ring adorned his right ring finger, and he wore sparkly thistle-colored glass earrings.
