I don’t know much about Rainverse except for the main soulmate concept, but my brain is running wild with plot ideas right now at 4 AM lol

Rain verse :

A soulmate AU where people can hear their soulmate’s voice when it rains.

The world falls silent except for the sound of your other half.

And if you hear only the rain… it means they’re gone

Vincent thought he didn’t have a soulmate because he had never heard the other person speak to him, not even once. So one silent, rainy day, he started rambling out loud about his plan to murder his rival.

Suddenly, a voice replied and pointed out how sloppy his plan was. Then it began helping him rethink everything, guiding him into a much more thorough way to kill, with the most beautiful voice Vincent had ever heard in his life.

The voice never revealed who he was, but his charm alone was enough to captivate Vincent, even without ever meeting him face to face.

As the weatherman, Vincent always knew when the rain would come. And he would be happy all day just to chat for a moment.

One day, while listening to the radio, he heard it again. The same voice he had been longing for.

He discovered the identity of the famous radio star and rushed to New Orleans, only to be met with the news of the end of the Smiling Killer. And he realized that the owner of the only voice that had ever meant anything in his life was gone.

All that was left was silence.

Then the sound of rain.

And the wail of a broken man.

They will meet in Hell though.

But that is something Vincent will not find out until much later.

i finally got Haru's design to a point where i like it ;~;

Ogawa Haruto: simultaneously the best and worst detective in existence.

he's my main guy in my danganronpa/ raincode au thing that i've got going on.

he was born with a forte that let's him hear the thoughts of other people, their hopes, their dreams, their deepest darkest secrets and plans, all he needs to do is make eye contact with his target.

he was also born with severe autism. eye contact physically hurts him, he struggles to understand the thoughts of other people, and he has echolalia, he relies on repeating words that are spoken to him to communicate.

he wants to be a great detective more than anything else, to use his abilities to help others and make the world a better place. however, that really isn't something he can do on his own. he's frustrated to no end that he cant, that he needs help in investigations, that he needs help to get up and get dressed and get a train ticket to the crime scene and talk to the police at the crime scene and apply what he learns from his forte to the case. but he puts up with the frustration just so he can do good in the world, because being a 'good kid', an 'easy to deal with kid' is all that he knows. he smiles, and he helps people and he puts up with things that hurt him because that's who he is, a 'good kid'.

he wants to be a 'good kid' so badly.

Month 1:

Whoa, it had been a hectic month. Tommy felt like he blinked and the month changed over. Between work and Evan, every single waking moment was occupied by something. Oh, and let him not forget the little ball of terror that had become his unwelcomed roommate. Rain was adorable, don’t get Tommy wrong, but that didn’t mean that Tommy didn’t want to drop kick him like a football more times than he wanted to hug and snuggle the brat.

I can never remember who writes, or if people want to be tagged, so this is a gentle tag of anyone and everyone who wants to participate.

Another Sun Will Rise

Ji-yeong centric character study, following her through her time in (and outside of) the games, exploring her past and everything that leads her to Kang Sae-byeok, a bag of marbles, and the thirty minutes which must inevitably end in a heartbreaking sacrifice.

Where Only the Stars Can See

Jibyeok and the rest of the S1 players in Hide and Seek. This is approaching Dead Dove levels of angst; you have been warned.

Sleazy Like Sunday Morning

Platonic Semgyu in a no-game AU, inspired by @chergeegee. Se-mi and Nam-gyu are lifelong (if somewhat antagonistic) friends who share an apartment, and things sure do happen.

Here are a few other things that I’m planning:

A lil explicit fic featuring Ji-yeong topping, Sae-byeok bottoming, and Jun-hee in the middle

A similar premise but set in the games and featuring Hyunmi and Se-mi

A winter-themed fluffy Jibyeok fic inspired by a prompt from @izzyfishie, which I plan to release when it’s… yk, actually winter

At least one (if not more) major ongoing longfic; expect updates in the near future 👀

I know it’s been six months since the last Good Rain chapter but I promise it is still my main fic project and I remain as motivated as ever to tell this story! I haven’t been able to work on it as much lately because

1) life is relentless and if I’m at my computer I am usually working

2) this chapter is heavily action-centric and I am putting a lot of effort into making it feel as frantic and visceral as what we see in the show

3) I’m a detail-oriented bitch who agonises over every sentence and hates reusing words

4) RESEARCH. Ga-yeong’s knowledge of psychology, how bodies react to certain injuries, what the scenery in [redacted game] looks like… it all takes time

5) all my other hobbies are physically demanding and I’m TIRED

the good news is that outside of the actual writing for chapter V, I have made an immense amount of progress with weaving together the rest of the narrative and outlining exactly how to get everyone where they need to be. there are so many exciting things to come!!
