So here's the entire color palette challenge set. (Click for full view for each)
The idea of this series was, that I have folders with different themes for color palettes I've gathered overtime, and I picked one from each that felt like I was least likely to use.
......Well, except the very first one I made with Raitei (the guy with electricity effect around his fist), because that folder basically only had palettes I have used before, and are my top favorites lmao
Did also slight variety of stuff from fanart (bottom 3), to my characters (top 6 images), to couple ocs from other people. (the wing ears oc, and pink haired lady w/an opossum)
The two ocs in question belong to @macckenchiz and @holditbitch, I really loved their characters hence I chose to draw one from each!
I have a bunch of color palettes I've collected over the years that I rarely/never use, so I decided I'll do some sorta drawing series where I pick one less used palette from my folders and use it to draw a character. Mostly my own, but I might drop some bnha ones/other people's ocs in-between too. (For my own, I'll do a comic panel look, with that short info blurb about the character)
Started with Raitei, since I've never drawn him since I made him, and he's actually one of my friend's faves (cuz he's a good boy.)
Ahem this is another anon totally not the sheep-mom you keep talking about. Anyways: this totally not sheep-mom has a question about a character that gets less attention. Raitei. First: how did he look like as a kid/puppy and how does his doggo form look like?

He looks like a brown-white husky/malamute basically. Idk about the kid thing yet, his bg story is still admittedly a W.I.P OTL
.....I was bored but had no energy to make something more worthwhile RN (I got an idea for a scene illustration of the latest fic update with Tenko and Touya’s meeting, but just didn’t feel like doing it lmao OTL)
So instead I ended up fooling around with bunch of chart stuff and this was the only one I felt wasn’t entirely trash. There’s characters missing (both existing and not-yet-designed ones) for the story, but these are the main ocs
Deciding some character’s placement was hard, as they could fit in several; Milo (middle bottom row) could’ve fit in first and second too, but ultimately I felt he’s a cinnamon roll through and through. I also almost put Raitei (second row, right) into the first category, but then thought about how his introduction in the story would probably go, and realized he’s likely come off as a dangerous badass antagonist at first glance (think Grimmjow’’s introduction from Bleach for example) and his friendlier side would only be shown later on.
....I also realized I NEED to redraw Shou’s picture. Both his ref is wrong now, AND the pic for the character full body illustration series has an awkward pose with his face not looking right whatsoever. Also I Still haven’t made Akiko’s pic either OTL
I reeeally wanted to make his description term be “Good boi” but decided not to be so cliche lmao
I’ve decided to make these into the character bio images, instead of trying to someday hopefully make the detail references for everybody to put the info under. It’s gonna take me far too long lmao OTL
Age: Exact age is unknown, but he’s considered a fairly young one among his peers, someone equivalent of their early to mid-twenties.
Height: 198 cm (human) his dog size varies from large average wolf to horse-sized
A dog hanyou (half-blooded dog spirit)
Role: The Guardian of Hasegawa House (The hidden island Araknos’ group lives in)
Family: The human family he used to guard was killed in a landslide
Love interest: Toshiko Kamakiri
Friends: Caelan, little Ichirou, Yuushi, Claude.
Rival(s): Claude (friendly)
Powers:
Ability to float and sense other beings’ souls and spirits
Ability to transform into a large, horse sized husky like dog
Ability to summon bunch of dogs created from thunderclouds that patrol the isle for him, and are connected to him through a hive-mind
Ability to control lightning
Inhuman strength, speed and durability (fairly standard level among his peers though) to the point he can close long distances in relatively short amount of time, and tear things apart with his bare hands. Or use his dog jaws to tear things
Ability to sniff things out, including souls.
Eat a ridiculous amount of food.
Puppy eyes
Weaknesses:
Being a hothead and a dog spirit, he can get distracted by sounds and smells if he’s not fully focused on the task at hand. He can also be a bit neglectful about his injuries and fight to the point of causing damage to himself. Raitei can also sometimes accidentally zap himself with his lightning; he’s mostly immune to it, but sometimes the idiot pup goes overboard with his charge and makes it dangerous even to himself.
His massive eating habits sometimes lead to upset tummy, he can be incapacitated pretty easily for a while by just making him eat too much too fast.
Personality:
He comes off loud and brash at first glance, and kind of an arrogant asshole. However he’s actually quite friendly towards those he trusts, and actually very high tuned to people’s emotions. He can either use this against them in a battle, or sometimes he might end up sympathizing with his opponent and be less assholish.
Raitei does like to run his mouth a lot in a fight and taunt his enemy, unless they’ve somehow personally offended and pissed him off. That’s when Raitei just goes dead silent and serious. He can be a bit goofy and dorky in a good dog fashion around his group. He’s also friendly towards kids usually, which is why he’s reluctant to fight against Milo and Silas for example, as they’re kids in his eyes. He’s very protective over Ichirou.
BG story:
Raitei used to be a guardian of a human family that sadly passed away in a natural disaster. Raitei Wandered around for a while looking for a new home, before a capsizing ship caused him to be dropped into a raging river; by luck he ends up drifting to Jurou/Araknos’ isle. The man noted the poor puppy had no other place to go due to having lost his original family, so he decided to let him stay on his island and work as a guardian to keep unwanted visitors out in case the initial protection spells fail. (More details may appear overtime)
Fun facts:
Raitei tends to often bicker with Claude, and end up in silly brawls with him that rest of the group roll their eyes at.
Raitei doesn’t have four ears; the dog ear shaped bits are hair.
He can turn into a large Husky-like dog. He can also just have a vague dog shaped aura around him to power his combat capabilities
As a lightning elemental and likes to give people static zaps for shits and giggles (especially Claude, cuz his hair goes REALLY wild when zapped)
He’s the friendliest towards Yuushi out of all of them (apart from Araknos) where he doesn’t really change his behavior around the Death vestige at all, unlike others who tend to be more polite/a bit unnerved
If you scratch behind his ear even in human form, his tail will wag
