I don't entirely know what's going on with ralsei gender-wise I just know it's NOT cis and whatever happens they'll still be the best character in the game like honestly there's no way you can explain what's going on with them in a cis way I tried I just gave myself a headache and started to feel a fracture in my center don't know what that's about but we don't have time to think about it who right now

I got brief lil theory based off the new Deltarune chapters (mainly chapter 4).

The prophecy, huh?

Ya know where I’m going with this. I’m not gonna stall.

I think the prophecy ends with the dark worlds permanently closing.

Kris, Susie, everyone from the light world

Will no longer be able to travel to the dark world & see the close friends they made throughout their journey

Very Amphibia-style, me thinks.

THIS is why Susie is so adamant on not fulfilling the prophecy.

THIS is why Ralsai KNEW Susie would react so viscerally to it.

THIS is why Susie said Ralsai “especially” would not let such a thing happen.

It involves Ralsai directly.

Susie knows how much Ralsai cares about her & Kris

& how close they are

So SURELY he would want to make sure they can still see each other again when all this world ending nonsense is taken care of.

& yet…

We see Ralsai in chapter 3 INSISTING Susie not get too attached

& prepare herself to forget about him & the other darkeners.

Why?

To help her hurt less when she can’t see any of them ever again.

Another important thing to keep in mind is that Ralsai believed being nice to everyone could potentially change the prophecy

So while we can’t use his mere thoughts & hopes as evidence for anything solid

I still think it’s worth noting that sparing & recruiting enemies COULD THEORETICALLY change the outcome later down the line

Not legitimately

But through Ralsai’s logic.

Perhaps the prophecy involves those of the dark invading the light world

Hence why Ralsai believing being nice could prevent such an outcome.

However, it’s hard to say.

…

What I WILL say, though

Is that Toby claiming there’s only one ending ABSOLUTELY is referring to the prophecy itself

Hence Ralsai saying THIS.

While Toby’s claim could be a bleak indication that Susie & co will fail to stop the inevitable

I cannot help but wonder if such a claim will actually stay true once chapter 7 comes around, or if what he said was PURELY referring to the prophecy.

Guess we’ll have to just wait & see.
