𝙂𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙙 🍜 I might be a bit late to the party but I had @tonkotsu.ramenbar on the weekend and I loved it! They’ve just opened a new spot in Kentish Town literally opposite the underground station. I started with pork gyoza, and the King Prawn Katsu which I LOVED, and also the Chicken Karaage, which was a very generous portion for the price but also such good quality. Crispy skin, meaty fillets, a must order! Then we had Tonkotsu, because when in Rome, and also the Chilli Tiger Prawn. I recommend sticking a load of chilli oil in, the whole dish is given a lift when you add heat. The rest of the menu sounds great though and next time I think I’ll be eyeing up the Japanese Mushroom Miso. They pride themselves on making their own noodles with their tagline being “you’re just a soup shop” if you don’t. Also, they have a cocktail called an Umeshu Spritz, which is Tanqueray gin, Umeshu plum wine, Prosecco, picked plum & river leaf, and soda, and it’s DELICIOUS. Leenalee, Kanda, Kumui, and Allen takes the spicy ramen challenge wiyh ghoat pepper flackes mixed in.

Lenalee • Is probably tricked into it by Lavi thinking that it’s just regular ramen. • But OohH is she in for it. • Takes one bite, and realizes the MISTAKE. • Spits it out and probably gives Lavi a chastising. Komui • Would do it because he was challenged by the Science Division. • Ultimately regrets it, his face would turn red and he would be trying it breathe out the hot air from his mouth. • Does not finish and he leaves the bowl half finished.

Kanda • Doesn’t see it as a challenge and eats it just because. • No reaction and isn’t the first one to finish because he takes his time on eating it. • Eventually finishes it and walks away from an empty bowl.

Allen • Does it because this boy is competitive and is AlWAys ready to grub. • Endures some discomfort but keeps going because he’s not gonna lose to Kanda. • Beats Kanda, who doesn’t care, and walks away from the empty bowl with a huge stomach ache.

Last night, I tried out the ramen champion challenge, you have to finish a bowl that sits over 5 normal servings of ramen in under 25 minutes, I did it and burnt the crap out of my mouth :3. The March special from @bonedaddies is pretty good! It’s Kimchi Ramen; chicken broth, kimchi, king prawns, karaage salmon, green chilli, marinated @clarence_court egg, bamboo, bean sprouts, and spring onion. Kimchi always balances on a fine line for me of being too strong, but this was just right, it wasn’t over powering at all. I loved the amount of heat with this ramen, too. It wasn’t too hot, it was just right.
