#FoodieFriday #RamenCrawl Stop #3 @sansoteiramen with @eatingthroughto 🙌🏻 With 9 locations in Ontario, 3 of those in #Toronto’s core, we stopped at #Sansotei’s 650 Yonge location, close to #YongeandBloor, to try their #MisoBlack + Tomato #ramens. Their Miso Black is a #miso broth with #garlicoil, egg, #shiitake #mushrooms, #chashu, + #kakuni (a thick cut pork belly, about quadruple the width of chashu) that can also be added to any ramen. 😋 The Black refers to the black garlic oil that is cooked slowly at low heat til it’s black, giving it a deep + less pungent garlic flavour. Sansotei offers a black miso + a black tonkotsu ramen. Our 2nd ramen was their Tomato ramen, a unique signature ramen with a rich tomato broth, chashu, #HokkaidoScallop, tomato, egg, + #shiitakemushrooms. A bit out of the ordinary for ramen but it makes sense when tomatoes are so packed full of #umami.
