Some of the guests' reactions. Ramiro is looking like he's begging them to stop, and it's too perfect xD
a short time jump - part 1/2
"Vera?" Wilson whispered. "Are you awake?" "Mmmm…" "It's almost 12. We've been asleep for nearly 2 hours." She sat up. "What?!"
He smiled apologetically. "I would have woken you earlier, but I was sound asleep myself. Are you feeling better?" She nodded, returning his smile. "A little better. Less tired, at least." "That's good." They looked at each other in silence, both knowing it was time to say goodbye, neither feeling ready to part just yet. "I should get going," she said. "Right." Her gaze landed on his lips only for a moment, but she could tell he had noticed. Her pulse quickened as memories from last night flooded her mind. "We shouldn't," he whispered, as he leaned in just a little closer. "We shouldn't," she agreed, placing her hands on his arms and pulling him even closer.
She slowly lowered herself down on her back, still holding on to his arms, pulling him with her. Their faces were so close that their noses were almost touching.
Just one kiss, she thought. One quick kiss, then I'll leave.
Suddenly, the front door swung open, and a very familiar voice called. "Wil. You're hopeless…" "Shit," Wilson swore to himself. "..why are you not picking up your phone? Don't tell me you've forgotten again, I..." There was a loud gasp.
"Wil. Watcher, I..." Glenda's eyes moved from Wilson to Vera, and they widened in shock. Ramiro was looking back and forth between the two of them, as if his brain couldn't even compute what he was seeing. Suddenly, Vera realized why Wilson's name had sounded so familiar.
Wilson, who was completely oblivious to what was going on between the rest of them, quietly muttered. "Don't you guys knock?" Vera nervously licked her lips, giving her friends a pleading look. "I-I can explain." "Can you?" Glenda asked coolly. "You don't have to explain anything, Vera," Wilson said and glared at his sister. "What's your prob-" "Shut up, Wilson. Go on, V. Explain why you're cheating on your husband with my brother?" Vera felt Wilson tense next to her. "V…?" She closed her eyes and wished she could just sink through the floor and disappear. How could this situation possibly have gotten even worse? She looked at Glenda and Ramiro. "Just… Hear me out. Please. It's not what you think. I can explain everything."
Glenda crossed her arms, giving her a doubtful look. "Go ahead, then. Explain."
