Did it also surprise you just how quickly the D/s dynamic between Lukchup and Ram escalated this episode?

Yes, but also no. I think Ram was driven to claiming because others were moving in on his boy and he was suddenly all,

That IS my boy.

That IS how I think of him.

He's just a little slow, poor baby.

Now he knows what he wants, let's see if he's brave enough to claim it publicly. But I think it's his style (and the pace of this show) to test the waters and see how Chup reacts first. Which is why the day of punishment.

From Ram's perspective Lukchup is such a good boy and so obedient to everyone, Ram needs to know if he is special to Chup first, before he takes a risks with his own identity.

Which is why this was not done in public.

Ram as Lukchup's Dom is actually gorgeously, but quietly, done through out the show in a totally unintentional way that I love. This show is not actually trying to be D/s, don't get me wrong.

But Ram takes control of every scene. He takes care of Lukchup, he checks on him, he insists that Lukchup answers his question to insure his own safety and comfort, he comforts him, he never lets Lukchup get away with lying to him.

And Lukchup needs that because he's very quick to withdraw into himself around everyone else, to insist he's fine. But with Ram he can be more open because he knows Ram is in charge. He doesn't have to make those choices, he doesn't have to decide that. He just listens to Ram and it makes him so happy.

It's gorgeous. It's well done. It's comforting. And it's just so, so loving.

Ram is so indulgent of Lukchup while also being strict. He wants Lukchup to enjoy himself and to have an opinion and to tell him exactly what he wants but also to have his eyes on him at all times and for Lukchup not to speak to anyone else. It's loving and protective and could use a little more discussion but Lukchup definitely seems to appreciate the protective spirit as it's meant and takes every bit of protection is just showing Lukchup how much he wants to be with him and then this just being a practice date to see how well they worked together is just so precious. They're so darling.

My only wish for the date had been that Ram bought Lukchup clothing/made him try on clothing to dress him nicely. It would have been the cherry on top of the indulgent little date and of Ram taking control of Lukchup.
