This is one of the first civilized things we started understanding about ourselves.
I have moods sometimes. I become addled with demonic affliction.
I may be strange and abrasive, but I'm very careful not to really hurt you, so please be patient. The affliction will pass and I will express my gratitude to you for not fleeing or attacking me.
I will say: "Thank you for being my friend. Here are your quest rewards. Let me know if you want to hear the story about what you did. I will only become crazier the more you love me. . . Don't worry. I already escaped."

There are two ways to live, and neither are wrong.
You may use that a zillion times, or you may use it once.

Just like most dogoo, they are purely striving to become some big evil terrible boss. There are some that are different and friendly however, so don't ever join a "anti-dogoo" party or something. You will provoke a dogoo 1strike if you do and it will cost you dearly.
It is quite simple, but I will spell it out anyway:
"You can tell the bad dogoo from the good ones because they attack you at random from out of nowhere."
