I checked out your soundcloud and I really like it... you had me at your cover of Tatuagem... one of the most beautiful songs of all time, and a great example of Chico Buarque’s poetic voice. the song is from Chico’s politically subversive play “Calabar: O Elogio Da Traição”. my favorite line translated to English:

I want to weigh like a cross on your back, that cuts you into pieces, but deep down you like it when night comes. I want to be the corrosive and smiling scar, marked in cold metal and fire, in live skin.

((live skin (or carne viva) in portuguese refers to the painful “new” skin that you get from an injury? like part of a wound that hasn’t healed... I don’t think there is a word for this in english?))
