so jester win, pretty rare. i’m griffin mcelroy. i start off as exe, target escort. we suspect werewolf of being mafia, who ends up getting killed by bodyguard anyway. my target gets killed by mafia. by now, we have godfather and mafioso left in the town, so i think it’s time to cause some chaos.

long story short, i try to random lynch people (at varying degrees of success) to throw suspicion on myself, but nobody votes me up. then, it’s down to me jailor (who can’t execute) and the godfather. i decide to play a little game with both of them:

the rules were that they had to vote me up and lynch me. however, the catch was that they had to trust each other to both vote guilty on me. if both of them guiltied me, then i would flip a coin to see who i would haunt. if one of them chose to pull their vote at the last minute, then they would secure the win for their side. they either had to trust each other to play a fair game, betray the other, or draw the game.

the first trial, they both pull their vote at the last second. i think it’s going to be a draw, but they vote me up again. jailor starts to smack talk the godfather, basically taunting the godfather to guilty me as well. but last minute, jailor pulls their vote, dooming the godfather to being haunted by me.

plot twist? the jailor forgets to jail the godfather. both the godfather and the jailor die. i’m the only winner.

Mode: Ranked Practise

I was Iwameanie the Executioner, except that on night one, my target died. So, I was a Jester. I thought about how to play this role change (no one had visited me N1 as far as I knew), and decided that I wouldn’t make any big plays. I would be talkative, but say nothing of value. I would be a constant presence in the Town, but not a helpful one. Hopefully, I’d get lynched.

Except, no. That’s not what happened.

A few days in, I get blackmailed, and the Townies stick me up on the stand. I thought I had better make a token effort to defend myself to look less like a Jester, but by tipping them off that I was blackmailed, I accidentally made them spare me. Whoops.

The next day, I’m blackmailed again, but the good news is that the Blackmailer has died in the night! A Medium also died, and their will commented that the dead found me incredibly suspicious.

The day after that, I see with dread the words “An Amnesiac has remembered that they were a Blackmailer” in the chat. I absolutely didn’t blame the Amnesiac. Town was getting destroyed by the Mafia, not to mention how distracted they were by me AND the presence of an Arsonist. I’m put up on the stand but accidentally talk myself out of it AGAIN.

The next day, there is a massacre, and I get blackmailed. It’s now me, the surviving Mafioso and Godfather, the former Amnesiac, and the unknown Arsonist. I figure that Mafia must know who the Arso is and are going to lynch them, and are just trying to shut me up.

Wait… what?

Yep. The Mafia thought that I was the Arsonist. And they had majority. The real Arsonist went along with it, presumably pretending to be a different Neutral Evil role. I quickly altered my will to thank the Mafia, and to promise to aim my haunt at the Arsonist (though I wasn’t 100% sure who that was).

Needless to say, when the words “The Jester will get their revenge from the grave!” popped up, every single player both living and dead had a meltdown. It was absolutely glorious - the moment when an entire town, regardless of alignment, collectively flip their shit because of someone’s role. The dead told me that they’d been suspicious of me for a while and had, like the Mafia, concluded that I was the Arsonist playing poorly. The Mafia in the living chat were freaking out that they got it wrong.

I managed to deduce the Arsonist and kill them, giving Mafia the win (though the poor Godfather got ignited in the process). Everyone shared a laugh about the plot twist ending before leaving, though the Arsonist was pretty annoyed at me.

I'm an Arsohole

I feel bad about this but it was my first win as arsonist in my three years on the god forsaken website so here ya go.

So I’m the arsonist. I am famously bad at my role and thank god for the new update.

The sheriff accuses the mayor of being mafia, who then reveals as the mayor, lynches a townie, and gets killed two days later. The sheriff gets killed because, well, if you’re sheriff and there’s no framer, how can someone get the mayor confused with the mafia? The vig shoots someone and kills themselves.

The whole time I was dousing people, and every single one of them dies. I douse the mayor, the sheriff, the vig (I didn’t know they were vig) and they all die without me lifting a single matchstick.

So my chances are looking swell.

Some time later, one confirmed spy is left with three others. The spy realises that they’re screwed because there’s a mafia, a jester and me left. Luckily, I had doused the spy previously and that night I ignite them.

The next morning, the godfather, the jester and I walk into town square. We both agree to lynch the jester, and both of us would vote guilty and let the jester get their win. We both click guilty and…

At the last moment I click guilty again and abstain. I’m a salty guy.

The godfather tries to kill me again but because I’m immune, I live. The next day the godfather quits and in his will, it said ‘GG Arso’. And this is how ignited one person, killed another with the jester and won.

If you’re reading this, godfather, I’m really sorry about that move I pulled. It was dishonourable, but I finally got the achievement for my first win as an arsonist.

One of the worst (and unluckiest) games I've ever played

I have a very strong love/hate relationship with this game, and here’s why;

I was playing ranked practice as an already confirmed vig. It was day 3, and there was a really obvious janitor that I was going to shoot during the night. For the sake of this summary to work, the janitor was in slot 3, a transporter was in slot 13, and an already confirmed mayor was in slot 8.

Night passes and I shoot the janitor. The next day, the janitor was dead, as was the transporter. The transporter’s will was showing that they were trans'ing the mayor with other people, but on the night that they died, they accidentally miswrote their will. They trans’d themselves with the mayor, which should have been written as “13->8”. Instead, they forgot to add the extra ‘1’ in there, making it “3-8” instead. As a result, it looked as though I had tried to shoot the mayor and gamethrow.

Naturally, EVERYONE started yelling at me, even though I pointed out that my death note was obviously tailored to be about shooting the janitor and not a mayor. I was put on stand because of it and was inno'ed just by the skin of my teeth, fuming the entire way.

Now we reach the end of the game. It was down to two people that I genuinely couldn’t tell the difference between because, shocker, I’m not that hardcore of a player. As a result, I’m scrolling through the chat for proof of anything that can help. When I finally found it, I click the GF’s tab with 1 second to go…and it delays. The thing delays at the worst possible moment and the trial ends. The town member is screaming profanities the entire time. I try to shoot the mafia but it was pointless. Town member dies, cussing me out in his will and saying to report me. The game ends with me looking like I had thrown the entire thing on two separate occasions.

Despite me trying to explain myself and apologize, I got at least 4 or 5 people saying that they reported me for gamethrowing and quite a few death threats at the end of the match. The only silver lining to the whole thing was that I ran into the transporter in my next game. They were super nice and apologetic, which is where I learned most of this information from.

TL;DR: A combination of bad timing and bad luck nearly got me unjustly suspended for a gamethrowing I didn’t actually commit, and two weeks later I’m still really frustrated about it.

Ranked practice. I was Jester. Claimed Surv D2, after Jailor was dead so I didn’t have to worry about them exe’ing me. (They were res’d later, but never jailed me)

Town didn’t lynch me, despite another Survivor claim. BG protected me from a Vig that night (dunno why). As game went on, Amnes was taken, there was another Jester, but town knew I wasn’t maf (visited, according to Spy, and consig said I was framer/vamp/jester).

I was about to give up on winning, but when it got down to me, GF, and Ret... They voted me up. First time, Ret voted inno. Then voted me up again. GF voted guilty, Ret abstained (at last second).

For whatever reason, Maf sacrificed their chances of winning so the Jester could win... To the poor Mafioso who waited till the end for their win, only for GF to throw it... I’m so sorry. The win didn’t feel that satisfying, honestly.

Witch Game

So my name in the game was SinglePringle, and this dude decided to be funny and name himself PringleSingle. It was a ranked practice game, and I ended up getting witch (even though I had consigliere scrolls fml). I decided to control him, and he ended up being forger. Two investigators died that night, so I was pretty sure there was no spy. 

I whispered Pringle, and we decided to team. 

Fast forward, I decide to hope someone with a tk claim? was vig, and try and make them shoot a revived invest.

They were vet.

And they alerted.

So I ended up dying, along with PringleSingle, who died of sk (lol, there was also a ww) But, earlier before, I found out WW, and put it in my will. So that day, WW was lynched.

Serial Killer ended up winning, it was him vs a cocky vet, who said he had alerts he didnt have LOL

Mode: Ranked Practice

I’m Vigilante.

No kills first night. WW kills Amnesiac next night, 2 townies leave. Someone’s acting like Jester, but town decides to lynch and they were Framer. So one maf down. Following night, the Jailor kills Mafioso, and the Bodyguard, who was healed by the Doctor, kills the Godfather. Invest reveals a possible WW suspect, town doesn’t lynch them in time but Jailor kills them that night.

Game over! ...Oh, wait, no.

Someone suggests 4 mafia, but there wasn’t a maf kill that night so I wasn’t too sure. I said there could be a Witch, as it wouldn’t have ended with me being Vig, and someone claims Witch. Town doesn’t bother lynching, so I go to shoot (I was thinking they might be Jester, anyway, as no one had been controlled) and they control me, I kill a Lookout.

Town now realises it was a Witch, and not 4 Mafia, so we lynch them.

Game over! ...Still, no.

We’ve gotten down to Jailor, Doc and BG, Invest and a Lookout claim. The LO claim was susp, so town lynches...

and they were Lookout.

Thankfully Jailor kills the Consig turned Mafioso that night and we win, but bloody hell, that game took a lot longer than I thought.

Mode: Ranked Practise

I’m playing as Sin the Serial Killer, number 1 on the list. I decide that I’m going to play as a bad Executioner to dodge actual suspicions for as long as I can, and therefore put together a “Sheriff will”. I also decide that I’m going to put puns in my notes, so I start with the player Loki, and make a “low-key” pun. (Loki was the Amnesiac.)

The morning starts, and two players called Thor and Odin are swearing vengeance on the SK. Good. Then a player called Glorfindel says that “1 visited Loki”. Well shit, a Lookout apparently saw me. I protest and say that I am the Sheriff, and votes start rolling in for me. Then Glorfindel admits that they made it up and try to claim that they premade with me. (They didn’t. I was confused.)

That night, I ponder killing Glorfindel, but decide that it’s way too suspicious to do so and target a player called opskins dot com. I make a “dot com bubble” joke. Except opskins was the Transporter and swapped themselves with Odin, so Odin died. Thor is now panicking. I open the day by saying that I have no idea who Glorfindel is or what they’re doing, but I’m sure not SK. Maybe an Executioner, I suggest.

A player called L then starts shouting that they investigated me and that I’m SK. I shoot back that I’m the Sheriff, and that Glorfindel is probably an Executioner. (Again, they can’t be.) Someone else then claims Executioner, so for some reason we decide to lynch them. In the process, Glorfindel claims Bodyguard. Aha! Glorfindel is a Godfather pretending to be a bad Executioner or Jester. Right? We lynch the “Executioner” and it turns out they’re the Werewolf who had done nothing so far. Everyone was surprised.

That night… I was jailed. Well, shit. I post my fake will in an attempt to talk myself out of it. Hopefully, the Jailor has a bad will. They don’t execute me, and I kill them. In the morning, it turns out that their will was good. Between L and the Jailor, everyone now knows my role.

I threw up my hands in defeat. “Glorfindel, I seriously hate you. Why did you have to be RIGHT?” My only hope now is to look like a lucky Jester, but it doesn’t pan out and they lynch me.

So. What was Glorfindel?

A Jester. Of course.

The eventual winners were the Mafia. The last Mafia member attempted to convince the last townie to lynch Glorfindel, but the townie refused, so Glorfindel didn’t win.
