DM: You pick up Kjell and Galwyn and travel through Suda, down through the Earth District, and come to the metal gate of Dark Town. A drow guard slides back the grille.
Godric (fairy warlock): Hey. Can we buy passage through town?
Thaddeus (khajiit paladin): We're looking for the entrance to the Underdark.
Godric: We were told about it by The Craftsmen.
DM: He narrows his eyes. "They've spent their favour."
Seraph (siren sorcerer): We're not looking to piggyback, just shortcutting the conversation. How can we gain entrance?
DM: He nods. "I can't let you wander around town by yourselves."
Billie (gnome ardent): We're happy to pay for a guide.
DM: He says thoughtfully, "I can't leave my post, and it would be rude to call someone else away from whatever they're doing, but for enough money..."
Kjell (half-elf barbarian): For enough money you'd leave early?
DM: He gives a barking laugh. "No, there's no price that would make me leave the gate to Dark Town unguarded. For enough money I could call a friend and get them to take you."
Una (genasi artificer): That sounds like fake capitalism.
Seraph: Ignore her. What's the rate?
Billie: *hands over a platinum piece* I don't care, just do it.
DM: His eyes gleam. "I think at least three of those-"
Billie: You're a handler. Call the guide.
DM: "...Okay."
