On their first day of school, the All-New Avengers Academy students (consisting of Aaron Fischer, Kid Juggernaut, Lunella Lafayette, Escapade, Red Goblin, Brielle Brooks and even Devil Dinosaur) are attacked by Swarm, the reanimated Nazi scientist skeleton covered in bees. As Escapade pulls a switcheroo with one of the bees, they have to figure out how to stop Swarm without killing the bees.

Venom War #3 Breakdown/Review (SPOILERS AHEAD‼️)

So right after Dylan, Flexo, and Sleeper bonded, Eddie left the bond with Bedlam cuz he wouldn’t lay a hand on his son. Honestly that is great parenting, but it would be cool to see a showdown… Maybe the next issue? 🤷‍♀️

But suddenly Dylan gets a flashback to Flexo’s past. Flexo was programmed to defeat Eddie without a symbiote. And Flexo immediately started to fire at Eddie—causing him to be in a dying process.

But thanks to Rascal, they separated Dylan, Sleeper, and Flexo’s bond. And Rascal takes Flexo to Kang—who has his own Venom War issue with the Fantastic 4 later in the series.

But obviously, Dylan couldn’t control Flexo cuz he’s older and stronger, so he’s mourning over Eddie

JUST WAIT! VENOM SPLITS HIMSELF INTO TWO AND BACKS AWAY HIS BOND WITH SPIDER MAN! SO SPIDER-VENOM ISN’T GONNA HAPPEN‼️

Continuing on, these are the extras that are sort of thrown into the mix. Rambles under the cut.

Oh Cletus Kasady, tacky son of a bitch that you are. First thing, "on demand," wasn't the right phrase for what Carnage does. He considers Cletus his perfect other half. Though he's had other hosts, I think Cletus is the only one it has truly bonded with. So it keeps his DNA stored up, so on the chance he dies, he can get some flesh and recreate the guy with all the memories plus the ones he missed after his death. Cletus is unshaken by these events; in fact, it makes him more violent, which is exactly what Carnage wants. The process isn't instant either. It can takes months or years [(probably; maybe he needs to find matter that better matches with the DNA?) he also looks young for like a bit before looking more his age]. Lowkey obsessed with killing Venom. It's almost like a love language at this point, but he also truly hates its parent. Has no love for Toxin. Not as obsessed as with Venom but also wants him dead. Likes to play sick mind games with its son for fun i.e. playing with his food.

Not sure how I want to handle Rascal. No offense Normie fans, but the character means literally nothing to me. I'm thinking either Carnage spawned him while he was shortly bonded with Goblin. OR since he can store host DNA, it spawned and unknowingly used Goblin DNA. Leaning towards the latter. If that's the case, Rascal would be similar to Sleeper in that they're both completely independent. He'd also lack a connection to the hivemind. Because of his dad, he'd have terrible rage issues, like the slightest thing can set him off. He'd want to do good because Eddie and the gang take him in, but it's very hard when the intrusive thoughts scream louder than his foster parents' words of comfort. Carnage probably wouldn't think he was worth killing but try and absorb him instead. Toxin would feel a bit responsible for him, since they're brothers. He'd also want to protect him from Carnage's BS. Rascal would take a liking to Toxin since they share a parent, maybe get jealous of his friendship with Sleeper (?). Is most comfortable in dark, cramped spaces, like under beds or couches. Loves chocolate more than any other symbiote and will steal it (doesn't fully understand good vs bad). Likes watching late-night TV with Venom. Dislikes crowded places but loves going outside.

Hank Henley is also a mystery to me. I mean, I like that he's a veteran buddy to Flash because Flash could always use more friends. He's very action-addicted, preferring to be in the center of action rather than doing the "tedious" work (thinks it has more of an impact but also a bit messed up from War). Has trouble adjusting to peace and quiet. Jumps at any chance to help Flash, esp with undercover work. Finds out Flash put a symbiote on him before he gets a chance to come clean about it. Would be a huge thing between them. Eventually they both talk it out. Hank keeps the symbiote and continues to help Flash. [Sleeper Agent is a p cool name. I'm also thinking Emissary. Something undercover themed would be good] I also want him to find satisfaction in the "dull" work. He'd volunteer at the VA and do more charity work. Also, also, and hear me out on this. Like okay to me Flash is a bisexual man with a preference for women. BUT, but like what if Hank and Flash kissed tender? What if they constantly worried for each other in battle and kept looking at each other, getting so distracted that the other had to bail them out? What if Flash relied on Hank more and more with the excuse that "he trusts him," and he does but maybe, just maybe he'd find any reason to work with him? What if Hank answered any call Flash made because "yes, more action," but also he gets to work with Flash again? What if Hank comforted Flash on his bad days when his legs hurt too much and his mind is assaulting him with his stupid past? What if Flash held Hank when the memories are too much? WHAT IF?????

“You know, most people go out in groups, or at least in pairs.” She criss-crossed her legs and then stretched out. “Though I guess people like us don’t really have that problem, it still remains a fact that there’s an average thirty-seven-point-nine percent chance of success in a pair, and fifty-two-point-three-four in any given vigilantism situation with three people. That continues to go up slightly until you get higher than six or seven, depending on the roster.” 

Normie stared at her blankly. Did you get that?

“Rascal thinking about chocolate.”

Of course you are. He sighed and looked around. His voice reverberated with the dual-tone indicative of their bond. “How do you even know where we’re going?”

“Well, let’s see…” Lunella started counting on her fingers. “It’s after eleven. You’re gooped up. You’re using the bell tower instead of a normal entrance. You don’t even want anyone to know your name, much less where you are going, and Devil isn’t picking up any indication that you’re hungry.”

Normie stared at the dinosaur. “How can he tell?”

“I could explain it to you, but the odds that you’ll only get annoyed are roughly eighty–”

“Okay, okay; forget I asked."
