My friends are bullying me into posting and since twitter is imploding I may as well yeet it here.

Over a year ago, I started debating a possible HC for the protoss. That being that their crests never stopped growing as they aged and just sloooowly got bigger the older they got. I loved the idea that Raszagal had a crest akin to a "crown" that would further signify her position as the leader of the Nerazim so I started sketching it, then got distracted and instead drew a then unnamed OC (Nanzak) into which I attempted to incorporate the big crest due to her age, but imo was unsuccessful. Then I began doodling aged up Zhakul, at which point I began asking myself if this is such a good idea.

HmmmmMmMMMmmmmm. No. No, I no longer think so.

I randomly came upon the Raszagal sketch as I was clearing up my foulders the other day and decided to finish it for whatever reason. It looks cool imo, but she's about the only protoss of the batch that does. As I attempted to expand the idea, I ultimately decided I don't like it, at least not to this extreme. I still do HC that protoss crests continue to grow in size and shape for the first like, 200 years of their life. But then it stops entirely or slows down to such a degree that any change in size or shape is negligible.

it hurts a little still to look at artemis, when she’s got her mother’s face and eyes and build.  she acts a little more like her father but when i rub between her ears all i can think is that’s raszagal’s daughter...
