alright so i’ve already made note that yes my morgan is in fact from the future past originally, although i’ve interpreted differently. i like to play a lot with the idea of multiverses in awakening which it does fairly well honestly, and the idea that a doomed timeline will always be that. changing the past doesn’t immediately change the future, it just diverts what could have been a potential future into a different one, whereas technically speaking, the original still exists but does not co-encide with the one they’re on.
what this basically means is that the children that go into the past will never save THEIR future, just ensuring the future of the timeline they’re in is fine. i’m glad that at least gets some recognition but enough about that.
so, yes. my morgan does in fact come from the future past.. kind of. it’s an alternate universe i thought of that put more heavy burden on morgan as a character but also paints grima in a different light than the canonical one, painting them as more of a sinister figure that wont show their true colors until necessary.
in this case, morgan was the main cause of ylisse’s downfall by having grima play him out as a spy to point out weak points or points of attack as to where to take down the castle the fastest. this was mostly helped by the fact morgan takes more after robin so grima had a stronger influence, where as lucina definitely took more after chrom.
grima when she saw the chance brought down the castle in one fell swoop, having risen and such attack where guards were either lightly deployed or taking out cavalry immediately in terms of mounts and pegasi to retreat
morgan himself was the main commander in charge of the attack given the ability to surprise the castle and soon the kingdom fell with him killing lucina and all is lost. the way he was transported out was that at the last second, robin broke free of grima’s hold for one moment and pleaded to naga to give morgan a better life. after losing everything she had all she asked was that he forget all that had happened including herself and to be sent where he could be happier.
naga obliged to send him to where he could be happiest, but the hold on grima was enough to give morgan at least enough recollection of robin, having him ‘seek her out’ as a means of trying to bring him back to their world.
and that’s really all i’m gonna say since i have a lot more i’m hiding in regards to situations regarding the children, chrom and ultimately all that lead up to it since i want to explain it in rp :v
