Saw your latest video, excellent work! I was curious about your thoughts on Aliens from space. Do you think they’re possible? Or that the enemy would use our popular conceptions of them to deceive us? Hence the quote from Thessalonians.

no i don't believe "aliens from outer space" is a thing. as i tried to explain, Satan is the Prince of the Air, and his demonic forces are at work in that realm. "monstrous humanoid creatures from the sky with higher powers than us" is literally just fallen angels. if they can show up as false angels of light and ghosts/deities/spirits, they can show up as aliens. it's all meant to deceive.

Satan is creating the foundation for his lie that will "explain away" the Rapture, in which Jesus rescues His children before the Tribulation. those that didn't want to accept Jesus will readily accept the explanation that everyone that vanished were taken by the aliens. and Satan will be temporarily running the show (Revelation 13;5-7), so i'm sure they will finally make their appearance while he's in power.

that's my speculation anyway. i don't know how it'll go down, and i don't plan to be here to find out! 😂 praise the Lord for "our blessed hope in the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ." (Titus 2:13) 💙✝️

Doesn't have to be a long response but what Classpect do you think the player character for Hiveswap Friendsim is? I think they'd be a Heir of Heart. They use friendship/allow it to effect the Trolls they meet, which might set a chain reaction to allow them to become their true selves. I wonder how they fit into the revolution and LE?

i have no idea at the moment, but there seems to be a bit of an arc developing for the MSPA Player atm so...maybe we’ll find out?

Oh boy... Things are getting cool/cute on the Derpy blog! Got to say as a writer I adore these small conversations, it gives us a chance to breath and you appear to be enjoying it. I have a feeling that Neo will become crucial to the Discorded Whooves plot.... Or is that spoilers?

But yeah I purposefully create downtime moments after any sort of big event, I try to treat the story like a roller coaster. In DWnA for example if I have a heavy episode I try to follow it up with a lighthearted episode.

Anyway, while I’m working on an arc for Dissy, Lovestruck will be casual/random answers again, and won’t go in to story mode until Dissy is done with his, at which time he will switch to casual answer mode instead to go over the events of the adventure and figure out what to do next.

The team tends to change a lot over time, though. We’re almost always getting new members, and also people decide they cannot commit themselves to the project and leave. More than a few constants do remain, however. :)

Do you have the new VIZ edition of Homestuck ACTs 1&2? They have some commentary from Hussie for each page. Including details he thought would've been relevant like on page 149. It has all sorts of snippets like that. Plus its a good copy despite missing some details like retcons edits in places.

i don’t have these editions yet, hopefully ill be able to afford em soon! I do have access to the commentaries for the original 3 volumes--it’s where i found that quote about grandpa and a bunch of other cool stuff.

i’m pretty excited to get the VIZ editions though, specially since my original editions are stuck where i can’t get to them!

Found some "old" drama around Homestuck/Andrew Hussie recently and I respect your opinion. What do you think about the "caucasian joke" that used to be found in the Trickster arc? I don't mind it. I also saw other stuff around Andrew's responses to questions around disabilities, fat, stereotyping, race, and similar topics. I know this question can be controversial so any other links about your opinion would be nice if you have the time. Thanks and can't wait to see more.

Back in the old fandom days, I was one of the many who was pretty pissed about that joke and internalized it as some sort of “take that” at Homestuck fans who had criticisms of the comic’s relationship to race.

My feelings have since shifted, and I certainly don’t think that was the narrative intent. I think the Caucasian joke is better understood in context with the rest of the comic’s gnostic themes. I’ve written an article on Trickster Mode:

Suffice it to say, I’m not an expert on race issues, and I don’t want my personal feelings to imply that all people who are critical of Homestuck along those lines are being unreasonable or anything.

But my reading of the text is such that if anything, the joke here is on Whiteness as a source of political power.

Or, even more likely, on making a tongue in cheek reference to one of AURYN’s side-effects in The Neverending Story. When Bastian (a white kid) gains the amulet (same one depicted on Jane’s Lollipop), he’s also transformed into an “oriental prince.” Racebending is sort of part of the thing’s powerset.

Not on debunking the idea that the kids could be white, or mocking fans who wanted to consider the possibility.

I’m doing okay I think

On the 1st I watched my teacher’s favorite movie with some friends, as it used to be a tradition of his to show the movie to his class every year. (Emperor’s New Groove) and it was nice to watch with friends and remember the good things

As for my grandpa, I’m sad, but also knew he wasn’t doing well and he was very old. It’s just sad it happened so close to when my dad died.

There’s not much of my family left, honestly...

How are you doing? I saw your post about money issues. I would donate but I don't have the funds myself. Is there another way to help out? Do you have friends or others who can help? I know family is a touchy subject since I've been following your blogs for a while, so I won't dip into that territory. I just wanted to say how much your work has meant to me, it helped me grow and I love your art. Kind words won't solve your problems, but I hope its encouraging. Thanks Jitters.

I have some emergency backup funds in case I can’t make rent/food, I really don’t like using them unless I absolutely have to though.

Honestly with my dad dying recently, it looks like I might get a decent inheritance but then again I might not, because he had debts and those have to be worked through.

My older half brother is taking care of everything financially when it comes to my dad, he paid for the cremation, copies of death certificates, hired a lawyer to make sure me, my older half sister, and him all get our fair share of whatever’s left after all his debts are figured out.

Thus far his debt is at 83,000 and it’ll take a few months for creditors to come forward to make claims.

The lawyer and my brother are going to do the best they can to get certain debts waved if possible.

After that, the house gets sold, his vehicles get sold, and we split whatever’s in the house between us. The house is pretty high value from what we’re gathering, so hopefully it can pay off the debt with enough left over to give us something.
