The Summoning

Desperation had brought her to this. All her leads for finding her father, were dead ends, this was the last thing to try. Ash knelt their in front of the chalk drawn pentagram. The candles dimly lit her bedroom as she read an incantation from the old occult book. It was summoning spell, if things went well she would be able to call on an angel to grant her wish. The young woman held up her hands reading aloud the last line of  the incantation. With that, a strange gust of wind whirled through the room, pushing about stray papers on the floor and blowing out the candles. She shielded her face, crawling towards the open window, slamming it closed. “That wasn’t what I expected at all...”
