here is the first floor, and honestly probably where i am gonna keep most of my gameplay, i rly like confining things to one floor when i'm doing gameplay, it feels much more manageable somehow?

nevertheless, this is a legacy and lord knows i run out of room in them, so the second floor is accessible, but i'm not putting anything in it at this time

and then the third floor, unsure if i'm going to make that little tower room accessible or not

Would you and Azaya be willing to share a screenshot showing maybe a section of your Sims name database? I'm thinking of making my own but I'm not sure how to set it up. Do you have first name and surnames separate? DO you have full names already set up?

We use google sheets and just divide the categories. Each sheet has two columns, one for the name and the other for any notes on it (origin, alternate spellings, translations, possible nicknames). Sheets works well for us since you can have the app on your phone, so we can add stuff on the fly. No predetermined full names. When we have a new sim, we just pick a first and last name that sound good together.

The list has grown over time to include other categories, as you can see at the bottom. Basically anything that needs a name goes on the list. Pet and Place are self-explanatory, weird books is mostly randomly generated book titles from Caves of Qud, D&Dish are D&D race names from various generators, Brands are the dumb fake brands that we come up with, Bands are the dumb fake bands that we come up with.

i’ve been trying to figure out how to respond to this ask. i usually don’t upload bakelites until everyone from their generation (in the main house) have at least aged up to elders. then i typically add them to the download post on my dreamwidth. 

i’m probably going to hold onto jasreen a little longer, but hopefully she and the others will be ready to be uploaded to the main post as soon as the next bakelite update is posted. and if it takes me a little too long to make that happen, i will upload jasreen earlier for you. i hope that’s ok! :)
