Raxes, the Wrath of Heaven
Another of the associates of Freya and Kallista.
Name: Raxes Age: 38 years Species: Aasimar (Scourge, winged) Gender: Male Sexuality: Asexual Class: Barbarian (Zealot) Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Primary Attributes: Strength and Constitution
- Raxes is the oldest of the party, relatively speaking. Nearing his forties, he’s comparatively old for an Adventurer, as most in their line of work, especially frontline fighters like himself, don’t tend to make it out of their early 30s without dying or sustaining a career-ending injury. He carries himself with a tired and grouchy composure, but despite that, he does gradually warm up to the people he’s working with.
- Raxes’ point of origin is unknown to his comrades, as he considers it unimportant- A small village in a tiny, forgotten corner of Arturium. Like many of his kind, he grew up with the pressure of being expected to perform divine miracles, and eventually it began to wear him down.
- He ran away at a young age, but found that most villages had similar expectation of an “Angel-Born”, and his weariness gradually devolved into rage, an anger at the heavens for abandoning their mortal devotees to such an extent that they turned to a mortal teenager for hope. This anger would go on to fuel him for the rest of his life.
- Gradually, he honed his skills with an axe, and crafted his own gear from pieces scavenged from slain foes. The great stone blade of his axe, Godbreaker, has ended many a foe.
- Raxes ultimately devoted himself to helping others, with the only means he truly understands: Violence.
- Raxes’ skin has a metallic sheen, as do his hair and feathers. His eyes constantly glow a warm blue, which brightens when he activates his Rage. He also doesn’t bother with full armour, as his skin is harder than anything he can afford. As such, he is marked with scars and scrapes, each of them a memory of a battle won or lost.
- Being a Zealot Barbarian, he is fully capable of persisting past the point of death as long as his rage continues. He is literally too angry to die.
- Raxes still retains a great deal of resentment toward the Celestial Planes, considering the gods too neglectful to be worth his time. This causes some friction between him and the more religious members of the party. He would be considered a distheist, theologically.
