Ray is kind of like Haymitch if went to therapy. The best case scenario for a victor. By the time Toby meets Ray, he’s a pretty chill and well adjusted dude. Ray's got better friends, mentally stable, sober, and has a good career as a chef. He’s easygoing and chill for the most part, but he can be blunt, intimidating, and even brutal if he needs to be. He’s fiercely protective of those he cares about, a classic sx6, and willing to burn the entire world down just to protect them. On the flipside, it can cause him to be hella co-dependent and commit pretty shitty stuff... But I don't wanna talk ABT that 🫶

That doesn’t mean he was absolutely fucked by the Capitol. Born to gangs in the city (or smth idk), his family had to cut him off to avoid getting hounded and found out by paparazzi. So he was pretty lonely for a while, so he turned to other victors for help. A nice group of bad influences befriended him, turning into another nasty sad mf, until Anaiya came along and motivated him to shape up.

Sidenote: I had to downgrade the quality of the drawings cuz my perfectionist ass just refuses to be happy w whatever polished drawing (mostly cuz I can't draw anatomy to save my life) so y'all just gotta deal with shittier close-up shots with uninteresting poses lol. I made it up for it w extra doodles at least??? I'll be doing that from now on lol

Get Lucky!

On Saturday, I met up with fellow comedian Jenn Tisdale and her boyfriend Alex and we all had the chance to check out Lucky's Classic Burger & Malt Shop in Stamford, CT.

At first it seemed like it was only a Johnny Rockets with a liquor license, but one look at the menu and the place proved that it was much more!

Creative burger combos like the Greek Burger (with melted feta, chopped tomato, grilled onions and kalamata olives) or the Slim Suzie (bacon, Swiss cheese, chopped greens, tomato - hold the bun) show you that you're in danger of biting off more than you can chew. I personally like that their idea of "Slim" is all of that stuff as long as you don't eat any bread.

I ordered the Holy Cow just so I could effortlessly work in my Phill Rizzuto impression. The Holy Cow comes with Cheddar, Bacon, Onion Grass and BBQ-Ranch Sauce on their signature Brioche bun. The BBQ-Ranch sauce was particularly interesting because it combines my most favorite and least favorite things. BBQ sauce and garbage.

 I decided to ask for some of the sauce on the side, which they were happy to provide for me. I then realized I should have asked for all of it on the side because there was still plenty of it under the burger and hidden beneath the onion grass.

It was okay though, because the sauce was actually very good. The whole burger was a good off the beaten path experience for me... and, I understand that I have a very narrow path, so it doesn't take much to get off of it.

The only complaint was from Alex who was saddened to realize that the straws were a little too think to drink the shakes from.
