Now I'm wondering how kids work with Leon and Liz. Are they compatible just because Leon is half-human and so they can have kids? But how would it work considering genes? Would some kid(s) have more unicorn in them then others, making them live longer or transform? Does their colouring matter for the more-unicorn sibling(s) since unicorns are supposed to be pure white? Do their eye colour also matter or not? Disregarding the matter of colouring. Does that mean that Leon would have children and grandchildren to pass the long years with before they find their partner? And concerning the Happy Ending, do his family really forget him because so many years have passed--like, all they know is that they have a half-unicorn ancestor and how did that make Leon feel, to be forgotten by his own family? How did he deal with it, especially when he see's children who look so much like a miniature him and Liz? I mean, he's clearly happy, but how long did it take for him to be happy again after realizing his own family forgot him? Imagining it all is interesting. Children with brown hair and red eyes, children with white hair and brown eyes, kids with other genes thrown in like children with white hair and green eyes, with brown hair and blue eyes--how many of them would be able to shift and notice they aren't aging like everyone else? How panicked would they be, to realize that they're so different from their "normal" family members--would they realize then who they were related too?
