What are Ray's Reviews?
Okay so I love movies, so really I LOVE MOVIES. It has always been a dream of mine to review them, so that's what I'm going to do. Here's how it works:
1. I don't spend a lot of time telling you about the actors, or the directors or stuff l that. I may do some featurettes on some of my favorite actors and directors and screen writers, but that's separate.
2. I love the movies so I'm going to tell you about the movie and perhaps some of the characters in the movie and really main points about the plot.
3. I keep it quick and short. Who has times to read a huge article about a movie? Read a few of the reviews and when we develop a little trust between us then take my word for it and watch it.
4. I do what I want. Meaning I may change up these simple rules at a whim, remember this is the thought factory and I basically do whatever I want here, but for the reviews it should remain relatively straight forward and should follow most of the rules above.
What's the rating system?
1. "fuck this movie". This basically means I don't recommend it for in-theatre viewing, I don't recommend it for dvd rental, and I don't even recommend it for watching on television when it comes on.
2. "Go Ahead and Watch it". This means that I like this movie, but I don't recommend killing yourself to get to it. If it's on the television machine then take a peak, or if you want to put it in your Netflix que, or you watch it on Demand. You don't need to own this movie or really invest too much effort into it, but if you watch it you won't regret it.
3. "Pretty Damn Good". It's pretty self explanatory. You can buy this movie, or see it in the theater, but you really should see it.
4. "Joygasm". This is a good movie, this is something you should see and is kid friendly. Get to the theatre and watch it, then buy it and add it to your catalogue.
5. "Mindfuck". This is Joygasm but it isn't for kids. Go see this film. Period. This movie will be on your mind and drive you a little neurotic, but in a good way.
