Two to Tango || Kaminari & Iida

A Random Kiss || 16. a happy kiss.
“That’s it! You’re doing great, Kaminari-kun!” Iida praised, stepping back and laughing as Kaminari followed his lead. Teaching Kaminari how to dance had started off a little odd, just a touch awkward, but once Kaminari managed to loosen up he’d followed in Iida’s steps well. He wasn’t perfect, no, but he fell into step rather quickly.
Perhaps Iida had gotten a touch too bold, or perhaps he was far too in tune with the song he’d danced to countless times, but his hands had fallen to the blond’s hips so he could pick the male up and spin them both. Setting Kaminari down, he bowed his head slightly, laughing as they came to a stop. His face was flushed from dancing for some time, and a mirthful smile was plastered across his face. He’d certainly had fun.
Turning his head, Iida pressed a kiss to the side of Kaminari’s cheek, polite but far from dainty. Kaminari too was flushed from the excessive, and his skin felt warm against his lips.
Pulling back, Iida laughed harder, a hand raising to half cover his mouth. “I’m sorry, Kaminari-kun! It’s common practice to offer a polite kiss to your dance partner. I’m afraid I got a little too caught up!”
Dancing was hard, it was awkward, and completely out of his element. He felt out of place all of a sudden-- like the roles had been reversed. He was stiff, at first, too nervous and unsure of himself. How could he not be? In retrospect, he should have expected it would work out this way, but he really hadn’t expected to take the “girl’s” role in these dance lessons. Even so, it made sense-- Iida was so much taller than him, after all and he made it quite easy to follow. Apparently, the girl’s job was easier. Or.. well... it was easier with a good leader. And Iida was good.
In spite of how rigid and semi-robotic Iida often appeared, his movements were so fluid. It was a side of him that Kaminari had never expected to see, but Iida really was in his element here. It made it a little easier to fall into step, let loose, and have as much fun as he had originally intended.
Iida was a good teacher. He corrected him gently, didn’t mind getting stepped on even as Kaminari apologized profusely, and never lost his temper. He simply paused, picked up where they left off and made it genuinely fun and when things were fun, Kaminari picked them up a lot quicker.
He was laughing and smiling up at Iida now, instead of staring down at his feet. He was humming along to the music-- seemingly lost in a routine he knew all too well while Kaminari did his best to keep up and not ruin the mood. Next thing he knew, hands were on his hips and before he could even form a question, he was being lifted into the air and spun around.
Kaminari felt his heart jump to his throat and his cheeks go red as he clung to Iida’s arms until he was back on the ground. For a moment, he was too stunned to say anything, but as soon as Iida started laughing, really laughing, he couldn’t help but fall into a fit of giggles right by him.
It would seem there would be no shortage of surprises for the day as Iida suddenly leaned in and pressed a kiss to his heated cheek. Eyes wide, Kaminari’s fingers immediately flew to replace Iida’s lips. Flushed and confused, he wasn’t sure what to do or say.
“O-Oh..” he laughed nervously, back to feeling out of his element, but he’d had fun. So should he really be thinking about this so hard?
