#re eclipse

I came to notice something with Eclipse that almost ties in with Rising Eclipse.

In Rising Eclipse, it took 9 months for Eclipse to grow himself into a better person. As it stands with EAPS rn, it's taken about 8 months and he has grown and changed so much in that time.

I'm still catching back up on it, but when i saw the title for today's upload, and watching the stuff leading upto it, i couldn't help but notice those small parallels. Still haven't watched it just yet, but i just finished "Eclipse's Hardest Choice". The fact he still chose to spare Vincent, and if things work out well, he will get him help, it reminds me so much about how RE Eclipse feels towards the Blood Twins at the current point in the story we are at. The fact RE Eclipse wanted to kill them first, but then realized he wants to help them instead, if he can. Oh, and the fact he had to muster the courage to ask someone like Ruin for help. Still haven't watched that one yet either, but i am getting there! I can imagine that asking for help like that wasn't easy. Same with RE Eclipse asking for help from Moon and Lunar! It was really difficult for him to do that too! So many small parallels and it's so nice to see.

Watching Eclipse's character growth has been a real treat. It's so beautiful to watch, and i am so proud of how far he has come. At first i didn't fully realize how many parallels there were between the show and my au till just prior to me writing this.

AAAAHHHH I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!! I am not normal about this, i love watching Eclipse grow as a character as someone who has been here since before he was first introduced and stayed through to his end on SAMS! I am so proud of him! I feel like a lot of people who don't watch this show are missing out on a hidden gem amongst the security breach shows. The character development of Eclipse is so well done!

I haven't figured out what pattern i want to put on Jackie's pants yet, but here she is with her upgraded look after Eclipse finishes working on her.

Some spinoff au info is that Jackie takes on a similar role to Dusk where she helps prevent Eclipse from having his nightmares. However, she also has nightmares thanks to what Mimic did to her. Eclipse helps her with hers as well.

She also knows what Eclipse did, but she cheers him on as he gets better and better.

(Her hair is still braided, but i do not feel like adding those details rn)

Little thing i wanted to explore with them. Btw, this has always been a thing in my aus, i just never did it except when playing things out in my head in specific circumstances. They can become organic in the main aus, but in order to do it, it requires a shit ton of energy to pull off which is why they don't do it.

Anyways, have this wholesome yet angsty doodle of Eclipse and Starstrike cuddling after reuniting.

I've said it before, but i do explore a lot of different potential scenarios for other paths that my aus can take. In this case, it required Eclipse to do this, which takes a huge amount of energy to pull off, and since his soul is damaged, it's much riskier too. Basically, here, him and Starstrike got separated and Eclipse was in a situation where he had to do it just to get back up. It's reversible, but very difficult to do so.

It's the process of the soul completely fusing with the body, not just being in it anymore. With the animatronic bodies, the souls are in it, control it, and can feel it, but they are not part of the body itself. This process makes them one though, and it makes them fully organic beings. It takes a lot of energy to pull off. It's easier to become one than to separate though. Again, it is possible, but it's more difficult to do than initially fusing.

Starstrike can't become part of Eclipse again like this because his organic body is not able to handle them (plus the lack of space) so yes, they are completely separate from him in the art. Just in a smaller form (They can make themself look like whatever they want so yes, they can make themself smaller if they want).

When they're in their organic forms, yes they become completely living beings with the typical needs. Food, water, etc. They also have blood, usually colored the same color as their soul (So Eclipse's blood is orange). Their soul essence also gets mixed into it. They also tend to lose some height. Eclipse, in animatronic form is 8'1", but in organic form, he's about 6'1".

As for why it's more difficult to separate again, it's due to the amount of changes done to them, and the fact that the soul pretty much becomes their life blood. It's very difficult, and extremely risky to separate the soul and the body again (especially in Eclipse's case). It has to be done very carefully and meticulously. One small mistake can kill them or severely hurt them. Once separated, the soul reforms, and the body becomes animatronic again. Though the affected individual will probably be very tired for a while after that.

Just know that this will not happen in the actual au story itself at any point.

Dusk is kinda like a weighted blanket for Eclipse. Helps him not get nightmares. Nova just likes to be close.

The ruffles on Lunar actually come from my old Lunar design. He has them, he just doesn't really wear them.

Wanted to draw this guy. I only ever drew him once before, but i started using him again in one of my um... many variations of events that can happen in the Regretful Eclipse AU. Anyways here he is.

This is Eclipse by the way, but in a disguise, using the cover name of "Dawn". (Which does have meaning in the original instance where he came to be, like Dusk's and Nova's names do)

The events that occur to make him have to use this are not canon, so this variant of Eclipse will not appear at any point in the story.
