Fanfic Writer Wednesday: Resile
You are probably aware that in the last months a lot of people left the Doctor/Rose fandom, and unfortunately @re-sile is one of them. She has deleted most of her accounts, but she still has a tumblr to receive asks and her fics are still on AO3 and can be found here. I’m very sad that she is not around anymore, not only because her fics are amazing, but also because she is a lovely person. Plus, she has helped me with my own writing so much by beta reading and being incredibly supportive when I made my first steps into Doctor Who fanfiction. So, in conclusion: she is awesome and her writing is awesome and that is the reason I’m gonna make you read it right now.
Where to start... it’s really hard to pick only one, but I think my favourite story of hers is Before It Breaks. This story shows some amazing characterization, with character dynamics and development that feels so real that I’m totally convinced this would happen if the characters would ever find themselves in this (unusual) situation. I am so intrigued by the Ten/Rose/Tentoo dynamic but was always missing a story that shows the slow build up until they finally get together, so this story was basically all I ever wanted.
Other stories you should definitely check out are Standstill, which has a really intriguing concept, Extraordinary (With You), which is the perfect story for this time of the year, and Idle Hands, co-written by @thebadddestwolf, and yeah, basically everything else. You won’t regret it, I promise.
