what up playahs, it's ya girls. this is a new segment we're starting called Wine & Watch, where we watch, react, and comment on things while, you guessed it,...
My friend and I did a thing a couple weeks ago. Would love to know what you think of our reaction/commentary! Many of you like when I review movies/tv shows, so this is pretty similar to that, just in video form.

Beach City Drift Reaction
Okay so apparently anxiety isn’t the only feeling that causes wild hallucinations. Something is inherently dangerous with human-gem fusions- or at least ones with a Rose Quartz. Steven’s empath abilities tend to move out of control as Stevonnie, much like how Raven from Teen Titans needed to control her emotions to an exact equilibrium to prevent her powers from hurting others.
Also, it’s cool to see baby Adachi Kevin get his comeuppance. I don’t think this is the last we’ve seen of him yet, but it does show us a few things that we can take away:
Kevin’s entitlement extends to everything in a deep narcissism. That’s why he screws around with people: because he feels like it’s his right.
Kevin may have sociopathic tendencies. He doesn’t just troll people for some giggles, he hurts people with the intention of seeing them upset. That borderline slasher smile he got after tricking Stevonnie about his brother scared the crap out of me. I’ve seen that look before.
Kevin’s defeat wasn’t just because Stevonnie denied him a reaction. It was that in previous humiliations, he got others angry at him to fuel his lust for pain. Stevonnie was able to stay cool, and thus there was no crowd to feed Kevin. Just one person trying to act cool would have also given Kevin what he wanted: a feeling of victory over a person’s inaction (which was his initial reaction). But to deny him ANYTHING when he tries to goad Stevonnie for the umpteenth time? He grew increasingly more desperate because switching targets out of nowhere would’ve had even less impact.
Steven is SO grounded when he gets back to Greg. This is 100% the kind of thing that would stress him out and get Pearl (to say the least) in a worried tizzy.

PS: Anyone want to bet Kevin’s also a PUA/MRA in his spare time? Heh.
