Sinclair!reader who….
who has mastered the art of giving people a look that shuts them up instantly, who is always on the phone, laying on her bed, twirling the cord absentmindedly, who loves making mixtapes, who lets Erica think she’s the boss but could humble her in 2 seconds, who is lowkey the only reason her siblings have survived this long, who doesn’t look like she cares, but remembers everything about everyone, who falls asleep with music playing softly in the background, who has an extremely organized and cleaned room, who reads books that are way too deep for her age but also loves dumb romance novels, who says “whatever” but absolutely does care, who rolls her eyes instead of answering half the time, who will insult you but in a calm, pretty voice, who has a very specific glare reserved for Steve, who has another one reserved for her siblings, who calls Steve out on his bullshit immediately, who was not impressed by Steve Harrington at all when they first met, but notices when he’s trying, who pretends she doesn’t like him… for way longer than necessary, who lowkey enjoys how hard he tries to impress her, who is the only person who can make Steve shut up mid-sentence, who gets jealous but will never admit it, who is the type to say “I don’t care” then overthink it for hours, who is protective over Lucas and Erica but acts like they’re annoying, who will fight someone for her siblings without hesitation, who is tired. like… all the time
age: a year younger than steve, but how old she is depends on the time the fic is set in
job: store clerk at Stereo Hut, and occasional babysitter
personality: sarcastic, dry humor, observant (notices EVERYTHING), emotionally guarded but not cold, lowkey soft, highkey defensive about it, independent, hates relying on people, stubborn as hell, effortlessly intimidating, secretly romantic but would rather die than admit it, calm in situations where everyone else is panicking unless her siblings are in direct danger and she can’t do anything about it, rbf almost 24/7
likes: reading (especially late at night), music on cassette tapes, making mixtapes, talking on the phone, laying on her bed doing nothing but thinking, oversized sweaters / soft fabrics, lip gloss, simple jewelry, hoop earrings, fashion, being right (which is often), when Steve is quiet for once, when people don’t ask too many questions, late night phone calls, vintage magazines,
dislikes: being told what to do, people underestimating her, loud, overly energetic people (Erica included ), fake personalities, when Steve acts like a douche (especially early on), people prying into her feelings, chaos (even though she’s always in it) sharing her things, when Lucas gets involved in dangerous stuff, when she realizes she does care, being vulnerable, awkward silence (she’d rather be alone than deal with it)
Description:
Waking up in the hospital with barely any memories is pretty unnerving. At least you have a husband there to help you through it.

A/N:
This was mostly written for one of my friends. We both got hooked on the idea, that i literally just got on a whim. I'm pretty sure we were supposed to be studying at the time too. also just so everyone is aware this story will probably get dark at some point how dark idk but dark nonetheless
Kim Geonwoo x Gn!Reader (anyone can read, no race/color/ethnicity, age, gender or physical appearance specified)
Argument with Kim Geonwoo (Gunwoo) as best friends
We all know Geonwoo is a very nice and respectful man
We all also know Geonwoo is very protective over his loved ones and that includes his friends
What happens when he gets into an argument with one of his best friends?
It all started because you felt that Geonwoo kept blowing you off to spend more time with Woojin
You two were suppose to hang out but he kept saying the same thing every time, "Sorry Y/n, Woojin and I already have plans. Sorry."
Like okay maybe two times is fine but FIVE?!
What was so important about what him and Woojin had planned that he couldn't make time for you?
When you confront Geonwoo about it, he doesn't say anything at first, just makes uncomfortable noises
He may know how to handle himself and stand up for himself and others but you are one of his best friends
After you finish rambling about how he's been making you feel, he finally says something
Geonwoo would feel guilty and apologize for making you feel that way because obviously that wasn't his intention
He wouldn't give you a clear explanation as to why he's been spending so much time with Woojin but he keeps saying that it's safer that way and that it will be over soon
This would make you more frustrated because what does that even mean, right?
You would keep pushing until he told you what he was talking about but all that made him do was snap
Geonwoo has always been known as a calm and collected person even when faced with confrontation so when he started to raise his voice it made you scared
When he seen your face, he realized what he did and immediately started to apologize profusely
You walked away to catch a break and get some air. That break lasted three days
You finally decide to talk to him and he explains everything to you and apologizes again
Woojin also ends up apologizing for stealing him away from you and keeping you in the dark about everything that had been going on
When you all finish making up, they offer you to treat you to some pork belly and kimchi fried rice at Woojin's aunt's restaurant
A/N~ I'm so sorry if this is bad or not what you wanted. Remember this is my first time writing something like this so if you feel I need to or should change something let me know. Hope you enjoyed. Also if you a story version of this where there's more context or in depth then let me know.
Need some help: What is the (or your) optimal way to find x reader fics that have zero description of the reader beyond afab/amab?
The tag gn reader is the optimal one for when even that much isn't described. But what falls between the too-often-assumed-white reader and poc!reader as far as tags are concerned? The generic "x reader" is a format tag imo, not a "generic reader."
nondescript!reader or generic!reader seem very uninviting and I wouldn't want to use those.
Does anyone have any they use to tag or search with? Does one need to be invented?
I would love to have a tag that truly means "this reader is not described as white to the exclusion of others" in the way that gn!reader signifies "this reader is not described as one gender to the exclusion of others."
☼ 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: Long ass descriptions because I seriously cannot write dialogue.

𝘈/𝘕: As we know from seeing Maddy's backstory, her pageant history isn't all sunshine and daisies but we're going to pretend as if it was for the sake of this fic, also I'd very much like to leave Ms. Jules alone 😭😭 shes been through enough, also i completely forgot to make this at nye i am so sorry
From a young age, your mother frequently put you into beauty pageants. Being an extremely successful model herself, she saw her influence as an easy in to modeling like she did in her youth, and saw no issue in entering you into things of the nature.
It made sense. You were far from an ugly kid, you appeared in ads, magazines, and campaigns with your mother often, and the media mostly had a good reception of your appearance and personality.
As for your own personal opinion, while having stocked trophies and medallions from competitions and a surprisingly large closet for an eleven-year-old felt like fun, modeling had no appeal to you. Maybe it was the young exposure to the fields' in and outs or just natural disinterest. You could only see it as a profession instead of a passion like your parent, a profitable one, but just a profession nonetheless.
So you never truly enjoyed the caked faces and fake smiles with nearly bleach white teeth, but you guessed you could thank the pageants for one thing, the crossing of paths with Maddy Perez.
You met in a qualifying competition for Miss Earth USA in Pasadena. Both from differing cities in Cali, you both had become well-liked finalists, Maddy's on-stage confidence wooing the crowd and swaying the judges, while your natural serve of grace and intelligence oscillated them as well.
The top three would move on to the official pageant while the rest went home, and you truly didn't intend to be cocky, but losing really wasn't in the cards for you--or Maddy, for that matter.
You both officially met behind the curtain before the judges announced the winners. The younger Maddy had a nervous tick of picking at her cuticles, and you'd grabbed her hands, forcing her to look up into your eyes and calmed her down. (Neither you nor Maddy were aware, but your mother and hers captured this moment with the disposables they'd shoved into their purses before the show.)
All other girls had been called out and brought from behind the curtain in order of their rank and title, silently trying to hide their tears of frustration and disappointment behind crooked smiles and bracketed teeth. It had gotten down to just you two, Maddy shaking in nervousness while looking at you with slightly watery eyes, and you looking back down at her holding her hands and silently reassuring her she'd be okay.
Her relationship with her mother hadn't ever truly been strained, but as a child typically does, Maddy developed a people-pleaser attitude and outlook and couldn't bear to ever see disappointment in her mother's eyes.
"And our finalists are," you both could hear the nearly quiet sound of a paper flipping, "Nazareth Yoshimura in third place! Madeleine Perez as our second placing finalist, and Y/N L/N as our first place finalist!".
The two of you walked out hand-in-hand while you watched Maddy's face for any sign of distress. This was still your first time meeting her, so you didn't know if she'd take second place well, and though you were intellectually intelligent, the tear-streaked cheeks and smile made it hard to decipher, but your worry was easily shredded when she turned to you with a broader smile and bringing you in for a hug.
Ever since that moment, the two of you have been inseparable. Your mother already had plans for moving into Highland since your current area didn't have any schools in its perimeter, and it just happened to work out that you lived only a couple houses down from Maddy. So daily, you'd switch places to spend the night at or just hang out. Your parents were close, your mom pushing her into becoming a successful and well-known makeup artist and esthetician for celebrities and other well-knowns throughout the state.
You were good for each other, well, more like you were good for Maddy. She wasn't problematic per se, but she didn't allow herself to be walked on by anyone, regardless of their authority role. Of course, you didn't either, but you took a more spoke when spoken to, but speak out when needed approach. You were kind to most, and opened up to some but mainly her, and that's what Maddy fell for.
In middle school, Maddy realized her love for you was less than platonic. You were already gorgeous and widely known for such, but as you grew up, you'd gained more attention from your school population, both of you had. So Maddy seized the opportunity to get to you before a sleazy upperclassman could.
She asked you out on Valentine's Day when you were about to open an envelope stuffed into your locker. The envelope was shredded in between her square-cut nails with a quickness, and she immediately asked you out for later that night. You both already had a surprising amount of freedom, so an unlabeled date wasn't hard to ask to do.
So one Ferris wheel ride later, you had Maddy's head cradled between your hands and her mouth on yours.
Your relationship had been unsurprisingly unproblematic and gained the status of the 'it couple' in high school; on top of already having a hot, well-known, and well-dressed friend group, other students didn't know who they were more envious of when seeing you.
And so the incessant plotting of those wanting to drive the two of you apart began. Everyone had been dying to witness what the two of you saw behind closed doors, so what better way to do that than to dome directly where it hurt Maddy. Her possessiveness over you.
You were both seen walking through halls with your hands tightly in the other’s, taking steps in time with your counterpart. So what better way to fuck up her created rhythm, system, and functionality, than to keep you out of the said system.

"Hey Y/N, can you help me with this Physics problem before you go," the girl said looking slightly up at you through her lashes and tucking her hair behind her ear, "I know you have a class to get to, but I have a test next period so your help would be much appreciated."
Not one to turn one away from helping others, especially since she'd helped you numerous times in your chemistry course of the previous year, you sat down during the break between periods and helped her through the seemingly never-ending questions she had about quantum gravity. But unbeknownst to you, Maddy had been leaving message after message in your conversation, searching the halls for where you might be, eventually spotting you through the window of your classroom.
For the past week, she typically found you helping other students with assignments, which wasn't out of the ordinary seeing as though finals were around the corner and everyone that never brought a backpack to school was panicking over the D they could bring up, but what annoyed her was the recurring girl asking for your help.
Now, Maddy wouldn't call you naïve, but you tended to be observant in every instance where it wasn't relevant. This girl had slightly taken to Maddy's style and behavior to garner your attention and though it obviously wasn't working, it didn't seem like it from her view in the window.
You had pulled a chair close to the girl and pointed out each problem within her equations, making eye contact with her to make sure she was still paying attention, while her eyes never left your face. She was uncomfortably close from what Maddy could see and only seemed to be closing the distance as the girl's eyes moved from your facial features to your lips. Before the lasting distance could disappear, Maddie abruptly opened the door, making you slide back in your seat and allowing your eyes to meet hers.
You gave her your typical small smile, expecting Maddy to do the same but were slightly disappointed when her eyes looked between the two of you and left her glare and widely-etched frown unwavering.
She briskly walked over and grabbed your arm, pulling you out of the classroom and into a storage closet down the hall, the bell for your next shared class had rung minutes ago, but knowing your level of intelligence in the course, attendance truly wasn't necessary.
"Do you wanna tell me why you were about to let that dirty bitch stick her tongue down your throat, Y/N?" She said with her arms crossed and head tilted to the side slightly, ready to catch you in any lie you could possibly have.
You both enjoyed watching reality TV shows, so maybe she'd get the Bad Girls Club fight scene she's wanted, but her mind was quickly shut down when your blank face morphed into pure confusion with your arms crossed, mirroring hers. You didn't show the kind where one uses idiocy to feign innocence, but the kind where you visibly looked like you were actively trying to connect dots that the naked eye couldn't see.
"Don't worry, I'm not confused, more wondering where you got the idea I'd actually want to kiss her. I thought I made it clear through every conversation we have that I only want you, Mads." You watched her head drop at the statement.
It became clear to you days ago why she had been acting more territorial than usual, you were used to getting casual flirting from others and seeing Maddy give out innuendos like candy on Halloween so you weren't upset by it, but never noticed how much the reverse actually had hurt your girl.
You kissed your teeth, placing your hands on Maddy's waist thinking about how late the two of you would be to class, not wanting to leave a mark on an already spotty attendance record, but your fingers moved to the belt loop in her low rise jeans, pulling her close so her lips met yours. Her arms immediately draped over your shoulders and angled her head to slot her lips against yours.
You pulled away from her and kissed down her neck, moving at a tantalizing pace towards her chest while still looking up at her.
Your voice dropped to a breathy and sensual cadence as you began untying the knot in the front of her small top.
"You're so fucking beautiful," you whispered.
"I'm so fucking sorry I made you feel like someone so insignificant could ever take your place. Can I make it up to you?"
