Bookish hot take (which I didn't know was a hot take):
I like established relationships and watching how their dynamic moves with the plot.

For both writers and readers, if you have a story where someone has faked their own death and the main character has no idea, would you rather learn they're alive when the main character does about halfway through? Or would you prefer to learn they're alive earlier and see scenes from their point of view?

I would to learn about the faked death when the main character does
I would to learn about the faked death BEFORE the main character does
I have no preference
It depends entirely on the specific context
Other answer / unsure
See results / I don’t write
Edit: I realized for this post there should be a “/ I don’t read” as part of the “See Results” as reader opinions are welcome on this poll
To whomever reads this:
What are your thoughts on mcd with the characters having A) no options, or B) options but none work.
To take it even farther: what if they tried all the options and none worked? Or what if they decided not to go through with - for some goddamn reason - the one option that could save the character’s life?
Every once in a while you find a great book among many not-so-great books. Have you read One Hundred Years of Solitude? Thoughts, please.
aftermath reader input
So there’s a direction for the next installation in the Aftermath series in the works, but I’m actually kinda interested to see what y’all would like to see. Confrontation with Steve? Bucky getting de-iced? A confrontation with Coulson and his five years of not actually being dead? More smut? A particular character’s POV you’ve been missing? Let me know. I’ll see what I can do.
I’m reading Witches of Dubious Origin by Jenn McKinlay and so far I’ve liked it well enough. But am I the only one who deducts points from authors still using the “witches are girls” approach to writing fantasy?
i really like all of your fics! but im really enjoying seeing you explore jess and ollie's relationship, and how they interact with each other. (and im also very biased but i would pay to see you write luba more, i absolutely love seeing you write for him)
Thank you for the feedback, dear.
I can't promise anything for Luba (all vibes, no ideas) but I will definitely take that into consideration. And I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying Jess and Ollie 😊
