hello! I hope you have a wonderful day/night.
I wanted to ask if you have any advice for new writers? How to improve their work and get more viewers or some.
Hello lovely! Thank you for reaching out to me ❤ The following advices I'll give to you are based on my personal experience and how it worked out for me, so I hope it's useful for you as well :)
Read lots of content from authors you like, and try to analyse what makes their writing so encaptivating for you. Is it the way they narrate the story? The words they use? How they make the book progress? And also, analyse the things you don't like about their writing/narration/progressing, and avoid those things you dislike.
Second, what I did in my case, was try and fill myself with new words and expressions.
Becoming rich in more synonyms helps you extend in the way you express the actions, situations, and feelings. And also, you don't become repetitive with the words you use. In my personal thought, reading fics/books with new words I don't often hear/aren't familiar with gives me a sense of satisfaction and like I'm about to get immersed in a properly written story, so perhaps that will work for you as well.
Third, when it comes to getting views; make sure to use proper tags.
Don't use generic tags like "[ canon character ] name", "[ fandom ] name", "x reader fics", and alike. I've seen many use those basic ones, and they often get lost in the ocean of content regarding said fandom or character you're writing for, especially if they don't use many tags.
What always works for me, is using several tags, like: "[ canon 1 ] x reader imagine", "[ canon 1 ] x reader smut", "[ canon 1 ] x reader headcanons", [ fandom ] x reader imagines", and all of those like that. Using several tags regarding the fandom, character, and related will help you reach some viewers.
AND VERY IMPORTANT: Please, please... Don't tag things like "[ canon 1 ] x reader" when it's an OC, or tag "[ canon 1 ] x reader" when actually it's a "[ canon 2 ] x reader". I don't know if I make much sense, but don't tag things related to other characters when they don't have nothing to do with whatever you're writing; otherwise it's annoying.
Hope this helps!! I'd be more than happy to know your feedback, and whether or not this has been useful to you, my sweet love! 🥰❤
