A/N: It has been approximately 75 years since I have posted this and for that I apologize! But I recently read through this again and since I have it completely outlined figured it was a good time to get back into the swing of things with it! Title comes from Six Feet Under The Stars by All Time Low. If you’d like to be tagged let me know! Hope you guys like it! Anyway, feedback for this is awesome! :)
You checked over your appearance in the mirror for what felt like the thousandth time as you waited for Misha to pick you up. You weren’t even sure why you were so nervous, it wasn’t like you’d never spent time with Misha alone before. Still, you found yourself second guessing your outfit choice. You didn’t have a chance to dwell on it, however, because there was a knock on your door. Letting out a deep breath you gave yourself another once over and went to answer the door.
Misha was standing there, a bouquet of flowers in his hand, grinning. You couldn’t stop the smile from spreading across your face as you took the flowers from him and stepped aside to let him into the apartment.
“You look incredible,” he said, kissing you softly.
You thanked him, unable to stop the blush from creeping up your cheeks, and went to search for a vase for the flowers. Once you found a vase, filled it and placed the flowers inside you set the vase down on the kitchen table.
“Ready to go?” he asked.
“More than ready,” you nodded. “Just let me get my jacket.”
You went to get your jacket and purse before following Misha out of the apartment and down to his car. The butterflies in your stomach were overwhelming and you couldn’t understand why you were feeling so giddy. It was just dinner but by the time you reached the restaurant you realized the butterflies were because this was the first time you were actually out with him in public, on a real date, and the realization of that had finally sunk in.
Misha found parking easily and went around to open the car door for you. You smiled up at him and took his hand, lacing your fingers with his, as you walked into the beautiful waterfront restaurant. You were seated quickly, outside with a view of the harbor, and immediately began looking over the menu. Once your orders were placed the conversation between you flowed easily and any nerves you had about the date had completely disappeared.
Dinner went quicker than you would have liked and you were more than pleased that Misha had suggested getting ice cream for dessert and taking a walk by the harbor. You agreed enthusiastically and once the bill was paid walked over to the ice cream shop that was only a few doors down.
“Nervous about going back to work?” Misha asked as you walked by the harbor.
“Yes and no,” you shrugged. “I feel like I forgot everything even though I spent all of my time off reading through my old textbooks. It feels like my very first day all over again.”
“You’re gonna be fine,” he assured you. “It’s like riding a bike and besides, you’re one of the best interns we’ve got you’ll get back into the swing of things easily and I’ll be there to help.”
“Assuming I’m still on your service,” you chuckled.
“I’ll request you,” he smirked.
You smiled at him and finished off the rest of your ice cream before following him back to his car.
*
“Thank you for tonight, Misha, it was an absolutely perfect first date,” you said as you reached your apartment door.
“It really was,” he replied, leaning in to kiss you.
You lingered against his lips for a few extra seconds and smiled. “Want to come in?”
“I don’t want to keep you up before your first day back,” he replied.
“You won’t,” you smirked. “I promise.”
“Well, if you insist,” He smiled and leaned forward to kiss you once again before following you into the apartment.
*
“Misha,” you said, shaking him gently. “You’ve gotta get up. I am dangerously close to being late for pre-rounds.”
“Five more minutes,” he groaned and rolled back over.
You chuckled and climbed out of bed and went to get in the shower. By the time you returned to your bedroom to get dressed Misha was just getting out of bed.
“We really need to get better about actually waking up on time when we spend the night together,” Misha chuckled as he pulled on his pants.
“Yeah, I’m definitely gonna agree with that,” you replied as you got dressed. “We have to start setting our alarms earlier or something.”
Misha nodded in agreement, pulling his shirt over his head, before crossing the room to pull you into his arms. You smiled at him and snaked your arms around his neck as he leaned down to kiss you.
“We’ve really gotta go,” you said, kissing him again. “Gen will kill me if I’m late after I made her fast track all of my tests so I could get back to work.”
“Fine, we can go,” he said, kissing you once more. “Dinner tonight? I’ll cook.”
“Sounds good,” you replied, moving out of his embrace.
He followed you out of the bedroom and once you both collected your things he followed you out to the parking garage.
*
“Good to have you back, Dr. Y/L/N,” Genevieve smiled as she walked into the locker room.
“Good to be back,” you smiled.
Genevieve assigned all of the interns and had shocked both you and Selene when she put you on Jensen’s service and Selene on Misha’s. You hung back as everyone else left the room, wanting to talk to Genevieve about the sudden change.
“You really think I’m gonna put you on his service now that the two of you are officially a thing? Fat chance. The two of you will get absolutely no work done.” she said and you went to protest but she held a hand up to stop you. “Don’t argue. I saw the two of you walking in this morning. Until you get out of this little honeymoon phase I’m not putting you on his service. The last thing I need is you two stealing off to an on call room on your downtime.”
“We wouldn’t --”
Genevieve just laughed. “You would. Just go help Jensen out. I need to keep him and Selene apart too.”
You nodded, realizing that if you even attempted to protest some more you would just get lectured again and you really didn’t want to be causing any trouble on your first day back, not after everything Genevieve had done for you. Still, you wondered how Misha would react to this, especially after your conversation from the night before. You shrugged it off, knowing that dwelling on it wouldn’t change the situation, and went to find Jensen, more than ready to jump back into your work and eager to get started.

A/N: I’M BACK BITCHES!!!! It’s been far too long but I am making my return to all of you lovely people and what better way to do it than with a Misha oneshot?! Hope you guys like it! Anyway, feedback for this is awesome! :)
The house was filled with people. It seemed as if every square inch of space was occupied. You had no idea how the party had gotten so out of control, you’d only invited a few people, but at that moment in time you didn’t care. You were three sheets to the wind and weren’t planning on stopping any time soon. You downed another shot as your friends cheered around you and you were just about to grab a beer from the fridge when your roommate and best friend, Lacey, came up to you.
“They’re here,” she said, her eyes wide.
“What do you mean they’re here?”
“I mean by some grace of god they’re here. Carrie showed up with all four of them.”
“How is that possible?!”
“I guess her connections came through,” Lacey shrugged.
“Well, let’s get them some drinks and go introduce ourselves,” you said, sobering up slightly.
Lacey nodded and you handed her two beers as you grabbed another two before going to meet your new guests. Carrie greeted you both with hugs before turning toward the group of people she’d shown up with.
“Y/N, Lacey, these are some of my friends Jensen, Misha, Jared and Gen,” she smiled, “guys these are our gracious hosts tonight Y/N and Lacey.”
You said your hellos before handing each of the newcomers a beer. You still couldn’t believe that Carrie had managed to get the stars of one of your favorite shows to come to your house party but you weren’t about to complain about it. You’d struck up a conversation with Misha while Lacey was talking to Jensen. Your conversation was interrupted, however, by someone calling your name.
“Yo! Y/N/N! Tables clear, you’ve got winners!”
You nodded over to the friend that had called out to you before turning to Misha to apologize.
“Got dibs on a game?” he chuckled.
“Beer pong,” you smiled. “My name’s been down since the party started. You’d think hosting the party would give me first pick, apparently that’s not the case.”
Misha nodded. “You got a partner?”
You glanced over at Lacey who was too busy hooking up with Jensen to notice what was happening around her. “Well, Lacey was supposed to be my partner but it seems like she’s really preoccupied. So, no, I don’t. You any good?”
“Can’t say I’m the best but I’m definitely not terrible,” Misha chuckled.
“Alright,” you laughed. “Let’s see what you’ve got.”
“Yo, Y/N/N you coming or what?!”
“Don’t get your fucking panties in a knot, Brett! I’m literally walking over!”
Misha followed you out the back door toward the large table that was set up in the middle of the yard. The cups were already set up and Brett was standing on his side of the table along with his teammate.
“Who’s the new guy? Where’s Lacey?”
“Lacey’s occupied,” you chuckled. “This is Misha. He’s my new partner. What’s it to ya? You worried or something?”
“Well not really, you always carry the team,” Brett shrugged. “We’re still gonna kick your ass.”
“Suck it.”
Brett just smirked and turned to his teammate as you turned to Misha.
“I hope you’re better at this than you let on cause Brett and I have had a beer pong rivalry that’s been going on since freshman year of college and I am determined to knock him down a few pegs.”
Misha grinned at you mischievously, “I think I can handle this. You ready?”
“Ready.” You grinned.
The game started and Misha was clearly playing down his beer pong abilities because he was dominating the game. It had come down to one last cup in double over time. You’d missed your shot and you were reeling, it was entirely up to Misha to win the game.
“Ok, Mish. I’m counting on you here. Don’t fuck this up for me.”
“Don’t worry, Y/N/N.” He chuckled, “It’s in the bag.”
You silently prayed he was right and stood there holding your breath as he squared up and took the shot. You held your breath as you watched the ball fly through the air. It was a perfect shot and it landed in the cup with ease. You jumped up and down screaming with excitement as Misha wrapped his arms around your waist and picked you up to spin you around.
“Suck on that Brett!” You called over Misha’s shoulder to your opponent.
Misha chuckled as he set you back down on your feet. You smiled up at him, unable to contain your grin.
“I could kiss you right now!” you said.
“So do it.” Misha challenged.
You didn’t even think, instead you pushed yourself up on tiptoe to make up for the height difference and pressed your lips to his. As you were kissing Misha you heard Brett yell over to you that you had next game. You waved him off, however, knowing that you would be far too preoccupied to play another game of beer pong.

You woke up the next morning with your head pounding. You couldn’t remember the last time you’d experienced a hangover so bad. You climbed out of bed still groggy and unsure of who was still in your house. Without thinking you grabbed a pair of pants off the floor and pulled them on before heading out to the kitchen to get some coffee. The fact that the jeans you’d pulled on were way too big and kept falling off your hips was the last thing on your mind when you saw Lacey standing at the counter already pouring you a cup of coffee.
She handed you the steaming mug and you accepted it with a smile. You took a deep drink of the caffeinated beverage before either of you said anything.
“How drunk were you last night?” Lacey asked.
“Well,” you responded, “I still have my pants on, so not that drunk?”
“Dude,” she chuckled as you squirmed a little, hiking up the pants. “Those aren’t your pants.”
You turned bright red as flashes of the night before filled your mind. You remembered kissing Misha after the beer pong game and leading him to the bedroom. After that all you could remember were the very explicit images from the night before. You looked up at Lacey, your eyes going wide as she looked at the doorway behind you.
“Anyone seen my pants?” you heard Misha say and your cheeks flushed once again. “Oh, there they are.”
You could hear the smirk in his voice as he came up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist.
“They’re a little big,” he commented, kissing your cheek. “But they look good on you. Any coffee left?”
“Yeah, there’s another cup in the pot,” Lacey grinned. “I’m gonna take this cup to Jensen. Talk to you later, Y/N/N.”
You nodded at Lacey as she walked past you, still grinning.
“So last night was fun,” Misha smiled at you, taking a sip from his mug.
“Definitely,” you smiled weakly, the explicit images from the night before flashing in your mind once again.
“How about we do it right this time,” he suggested. “Dinner. Tonight. If you’re free that is.”
“I’m free,” you smiled, regaining your composure. “Dinner sounds great and I promise not to get in your pants this time.”
You smirked looking down at the jeans you were wearing and Misha laughed. You had a feeling you probably would end up in his pants again you were just hoping that at least this time you’d have more than flashes of images to remember.

Your eyes fluttered open, your hand still in Misha’s, as Jensen, Genevieve and Rob flitted around you -- checking just about everything. As you tried to focus all you could hear was Selene yelling at the nurses to let her through. You couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle, which startled all of your doctors, as Selene rushed to your side.
“You’re awake,” she said, unshed tears in her eyes, “I’m so glad you’re awake.”
She leaned in to hug you, and you hugged her in return -- one armed -- unwilling to let go of Misha’s hand.
Through all of the hustle and bustle Misha stayed silent and calm, not wanting to get in anyone’s way. He held your hand as you squeezed it whenever any check the others made hurt and didn’t let go as your well wishers came through to hug you and say how happy they were that you were finally awake. He would have left if he thought you wanted him to, but the grip on his hand told him otherwise, so he stayed put.
It was a few hours before you and Misha were alone in the room.
“Thank you,” you said, turning to look at him for the first time since you’d woken up.
You finally had the chance to take a good look at him. There were bags under his normally bright blue eyes, and he looked like he hadn’t slept in days. In fact, you weren’t sure he’d even left the hospital recently to go home and shower and change.
“For what?”
“Being here when I woke up,” you smiled, “ for everything.”
Misha smiled back, even though he was unsure of exactly what you meant when you said ‘everything’. He’d hoped that you’d heard him but he didn’t want to jump the gun and make an assumption, so he kept those thoughts to himself.
“Of course,” he replied, squeezing your hand.
Noticing the look of distress on his face you gave him a reassuring smile. “Go home, Mish. Take a shower and get some sleep. I’ll still be here tomorrow.”
Misha seemed to think for a moment before nodding and standing from his chair. “If you need me…”
“I have your number,” you assured, “but I’ll be fine. I’ve got Selene, and Jay and Gen. Not to mention the countless other doctors and nurses. I’ll be fine.”
“If you’re sure,” he said, still maintaining a firm grip on your hand.
“I’m sure,” you reiterated, squeezing his hand once more.
Misha leaned forward and placed a kiss on your forehead before assuring you that he would keep his phone on. You watched him walk out of the room before paging the nurses station for more medication. Once the nurse walked in you asked her to page Selene and waited patiently for your best friend once the nurse administered your medication.
Selene walked into your room not much later, unshed tears still shining in her eyes, and took a seat in the chair next to your bed.
“You scared the shit out of me,” Selene sighed, “don’t ever do that again.”
“I promise I will try my best,” you said, “have they said anything about me getting out of here?”
“Y/N/N,” Selene sighed, “don’t rush this...you need to recover.”
“I know, but I want to go home,” you replied, “I love this place but only when I’m seeing the inside of an OR.”
Selene nodded, knowing exactly what you meant. She promised you that she would find Genevive, Jensen and Rob to get you cleared to go home. After knowing that you would hopefully be going home soon you made Selene fill you in on what had been happening around the hospital while you were out.
Once she covered everything she thought you’d want to know, including the escalation of her relationship with Jensen, she called your doctors in just as she had promised.
It had taken a few hours but ultimately you were given the okay to go home. Selene had assured Gen, Rob, and Jensen that she would stay with you while you recovered and helped you out of the hospital gown and into some fresh clothes that she had gotten for you days before. A few hours later she was helping you into her car and leading you back to your apartment.
After a few weeks at home you were going stir crazy. You didn’t want to be stuck at home anymore. You wanted to be back in the hospital, checking on patients and scrubbing in on surgeries. You wanted to be back into the thick of things. You’d been cleared to do pretty much everything but you still hadn’t been cleared to be back at work, but that didn’t stop you. One morning when you’d finally had enough you donned your scrubs and made your way into work.
As you stood with the rest of the interns, waiting for your assignment, you caught Genevive’s eye. She passed over you but as soon as she finished giving everyone their assignments she held you back.
“You know you’re not cleared to be back at work, Y/N/N,” she sighed, “you need more tests. We need to know you’re back at one-hundred-percent. I want you here, I really do, you’re one of our best...but you need to go home. I’m not just saying this as your superior but as your friend. I don’t want to cause any further damage, and I don’t want you to be doing this until you’re ready.”
“Gen, I’m ready,” you stated, “I can’t sit at home anymore. I need to be back here. I need to be back into the the thick of things.”
“And I will gladly do that for you, as soon as we get some more tests done.”
“Then clear the books. Test me now. I can’t go back home, Gen. I can’t.”
She considered you for a minute before nodding and pulling her phone out of her labcoat. Within a few minutes Genevive had secured everything needing for your testing. Within minutes you were taken for an MRI. Once that was clear you were sent for a CT, EKG and EEG. After all of those tests showed that you were fine you were sitting in a room with Genevive getting blood drawn for blood work.
“Gen, this is really excessive,” you pointed out, “every single test says I’m fine. This blood work really isn’t worth it.”
“I know you think that, but we need to cover all of our bases, Y/N/N,” she sighed, “we just want to make sure you’re ok.”
You nodded, knowing she had your best interest in mind. After a few more hours the blood work came back and it was blatantly clear that there was nothing holding you back from going back to work.
“You’re good,” Gen smiled, “just like I knew you would be. So tomorrow I expect you here, bright and early.”
You smiled at her and thanked her for everything she had done for you before promising her that you would go straight home and spend the rest of the day resting. She went off to check on her patients and you set off to find Misha. You hadn’t seen him since the day you woke up and he’d been ignoring your texts and calls. You scoured the pediatrics wing and the ORs for him and couldn’t find him anywhere and without having your pager on you, there was no way for you to find him easily.
You had completely given up and got into the elevator to head back down to the main floor to go home when the elevator stopped. The door opened and Misha walked in, looking down at a chart in his hand.
“Hey stranger,” you said, and he looked up at you -- startled.
“Hey,” he replied, giving you a small smile, “glad to see you’re back at work.”
“Not today,” you replied, “they had to run tests to clear me but I’ll be back tomorrow.”
He nodded and went back to his chart. You were confused. After everything he’d said to you while you were out you were sure there was more to say than what had been said. Growing frustrated you hit the stop button on the elevator. As it halted to a stop, Misha looked at you surprised.
“I heard everything,” you stated simply, “every single thing that was said to me while I was out. I heard all about Selene sleeping with Jensen and Gen worrying about me waking up but most importantly I heard what you said about how you feel about me.”
Misha looked at you completely stunned. He had hoped you hadn’t heard his confession, it would make his life a hell of a lot easier.
“I love you too, Misha,” you stated, “I’ve loved you for a while and it took this accident for me to realize it too. All that was going through my mind while everything was happening was that I hoped that I would wake up and make it back to you. You are everything I’ve ever wanted and more and I was scared to admit it before. I hate that it took this happening for me to come to my senses but it is what it is. I love you Misha Collins and I don’t care who knows it.”
Misha didn’t even think. He walked toward you and pulled you into his arms before placing an earnest kiss on your lips. When you broke apart you smiled at him as he pressed the button to get the elevator moving again.
“I hope you’re not busy tonight,” he said.
You looked at him perplexed.
“I owe you a date Y/N,” he stated, “a real one. So please tell me you’re free around eight.”
“I am,” you grinned.
“I’ll pick you up then,” he smiled as the elevator reached the appropriate floor.
He leaned in to kiss you once again before the elevator doors opened and you watched him walk away, more than excited about what the night had in store for you.

On the rare occasion that Misha was able to take a break from filming, you wanted him all to yourself -- especially when the cast and crew were only a couple months into filming a new season. Your schedule wasn't much less chaotic than Misha’s, which meant you weren't exactly flying up to Vancouver every other weekend.
Though you and Misha had planned a nice weekend at home for just the two of you during this rare time together -- in a house you had bought together during hiatus, then had been so busy, neither of you had been able to really enjoy the new home -- your sister’s babysitter fell through, leaving you to watch your six-year-old niece, Kayleigh, while your sister and her husband attended an out of town wedding.
Walking up the front steps, with Kayleigh right behind you, you pulled out your keys to unlock the front door. No sooner than you pushed the door open did Sadie, your big, black Newfoundland, come rushing to the door.
“Looks like Sadie missed you too,” you laughed as Kayleigh pushed past you to pet the dog, dropping her small suitcase in the process.
You reached behind you to grab the suitcase before ushering both Sadie and Kayleigh into the house.
Once everyone was inside Kayleigh started running from room to room, clearly looking for something.
“Where’s uncle Misha? You said he was gonna be here too!”
You smiled at her. Despite not being married, or even engaged for that matter, Kayleigh still insisted on referring to Misha as her uncle.
“Well, we have to go pick him up at the airport in a few hours. But first, we’re gonna put your stuff in your room and have some lunch. Sound good?”
Kayleigh nodded in agreement and took her suitcase from you before taking off in the direction of the guest room she always stayed in when you watched her. Once you both finished eating lunch and took Sadie for a walk you got Kayleigh into her booster seat in the back seat of your car and headed for the airport.
Kayleigh was bouncing up and down with anticipation while you waited for Misha. You hadn’t been waiting there for long before you saw him come into view. Kayleigh let go of your hand and took off running toward Misha. As she got closer to him, Misha knelt down with his arms out. Kayleigh ran right into his outstretched arms and he stood up as he hugged her tightly before spinning her around and setting her back down on the floor.
“Welcome home,” you smiled, leaning in to kiss him, once you reached them.
Both you and Misha laughed at the disgusted look on Kayleigh’s face from your show of affection. Misha grabbed his suitcase and you all made your way out to the car. The entire drive from the airport to your house was filled with Kayleigh grilling Misha with questions about work, mostly asking about Jensen seeing as she had quite the crush on him.
When you finally got back to the house you got dinner ready while Misha unpacked and sat in the living room coloring with Kayleigh. After dinner was done and you gave Kayleigh her bath she insisted on watching a movie. You put on her favorite Disney movie and she settled herself on the couch between you and Misha. Halfway through the movie she was fast asleep and Misha carried her to bed while you washed and put away the dishes from dinner.
Saturday mornings you usually tried to sleep in, but knowing that Kayleigh would be getting up early you forced yourself out of bed at the same time you’d normally get up for work. After showering and getting dressed you made your way to the kitchen to get started on breakfast. The smell of pumpkin spice waffles and coffee wafted through the house and within minutes Misha was carrying Kayleigh in a piggyback ride into the kitchen.
“What are we doing today?” Kayleigh asked as Misha set her down on the barstool at the island in the kitchen.
“Well,” you said putting some waffles on the plates in front of you, “Misha and I were thinking about taking you to the autumn festival.”
“What’s that?” Kayleigh asked, digging into her waffles.
“Well, it’s like a carnival,” Misha explained, “there’s rides and games and food. We think it will be fun. How does that sound to you?”
Kayleigh seemed to think it over for a second before responding.
“Will you go on the rides with me uncle Misha?”
“Of course I will!”
“Then that sounds fun to me!”
Once breakfast was finished you cleaned up and got Kayleigh ready for the day while Misha took a shower and got dressed. After taking Sadie for a short walk everyone piled into the car and headed over to the festival. Just as Misha promised he rode all the rides with Kayleigh while you played the games with her. After a few hours you grabbed some food and walked through the shops selling some odds and ends. As dinner time approached you could tell Kayleigh was getting tired and you stopped for some funnel cake as you slowly made your way back to the car.
As you walked the streets Kayleigh noticed two large boxes in front of a store advertising carving pumpkins.
“Can we get some aunt Y/N?”
“Absolutely.”
She grinned at you before running toward the boxes determined to pick out the best pumpkins. You and Misha walked toward the boxes as she ran back toward you carrying a pumpkin that was much too heavy for her. Once she reached you she dropped the pumpkin. As it hit the ground it exploded at your feet, effectively covering Misha’s pants with pumpkin guts.
Kayleigh looked like she was about to cry. “I’m sorry, uncle Misha. I didn’t mean to.”
“Hey, it’s ok, KayKay,” Misha said picking her up, “why don’t we pick out a couple together? Sound good?”
She nodded and Misha carried her on his hip over to the box of pumpkins. After picking out three pumpkins, one for each of you, Misha paid for them and you walked back to the car. Back at the house everyone changed into their pajamas and you got everything ready for pumpkin carving. While Misha cut open the pumpkins and gutted them you helped Kayleigh pick out which design she wanted to carve.
Misha worked on separating the pumpkin seeds from the innards of the pumpkin while you worked on getting all the stencils ready. Once everything was in place, and Misha had the seeds roasting in the oven, you got to carving. Halfway through, Misha pulled the seeds out of the oven and salted them before putting them in a bowl on the table.
“What are these?” Kayleigh asked, stopping her carving long enough to inspect the seeds.
“It’s the seeds from the pumpkin,” Misha said grabbing a few and tossing them into his mouth, “try it. You’ll like them, I promise.”
Taking his word for it, like she always did, Kayleigh grabbed a few seeds and ate them -- smiling at Misha while she did.
Another hour went by before the pumpkins were all carved and even though Kayleigh was obviously exhausted she insisted on seeing them lit before she went to bed. The three of you carried the pumpkins outside, placing them on either side of the front door, and you dropped a tealight candle in each before lighting them.
“I love them!” Kayleigh grinned.
“Me too,” you smiled, pulling her close to you before placing a kiss on her temple, “but now it’s time for bed. Your mom and dad are gonna be here early tomorrow to pick you up.”
Kayleigh nodded and motioned for Misha to pick her up. He carried her into the house and once you were both finished tucking her in you got settled on the couch. Misha told you to pick a movie while he went to the bathroom and once he was back he seated himself next to you, pulling you close. You pressed play on one of your favorite Halloween movies, Hocus Pocus, and leaned against him.
“I love having Kayleigh here,” Misha said as you watched the movie.
“Me too.”
“Makes me think about how amazing it’s going to be when we can do that one day.”
“I know what you mean.”
“Y/N/N?” he asked, and you felt him tense up next to you.
“Yeah?”
He cleared his throat and you turned to face him.
“This was something I planned on doing this weekend anyway, and I had a whole thing planned, but this just seems so much better,” he said standing up.
“Mish…”
He stood in front of you and reached into the pocket of his flannel pajama pants, pulling out a black velvet box. Your hands flew up to your face, covering your mouth, as he got down on one knee.
“Y/N Y/L/N, I have loved you from the moment I met you. And in that moment I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you, but this weekend with Kayleigh, it really solidified that for me. I want to marry you, have a family with you, grow old with you. I want to go through all of life’s ups and downs with you. Will you marry me?”
“Yes!” you said, tears streaming down your face, “Of course! Yes! Yes! Yes!”
Misha chuckled at your enthusiasm as he slid the diamond ring onto your finger before leaning forward to place a kiss on your lips. He’d said he had something different planned for the proposal but you wouldn’t have had it any other way. You couldn’t have imagined a more perfect moment. Misha settled himself back on the couch next to you, pulling you close to him to continue watching the movie. As much as you didn’t want Kayleigh to leave you were looking forward to your sister arriving in the morning so you could share the good news.

A/N: This is my entry for @jpadjackles Double Birthday challenge! I know I haven’t posted in forever and a day but I’m slowly getting back into it which is why this ended up being more of a drabble. Hope you guys like it! Anyway, feedback for this is awesome! :)
The distance was going to be an issue. You knew that going in but you were willing to make it work. That didn’t mean you didn’t miss him when he was gone, though. It wasn’t always so hard, you always made sure to text or FaceTime each other whenever he had a free minute, but sometimes that wasn’t enough. You missed him most on nights like this, when the bed just felt a little too empty.
With a sigh you climbed out of bed and pulled on one of his worn sweatshirts. You walked through the quiet, empty halls of your house and checked on your children -- who were both fast asleep -- before walking out onto your back deck. You sat down in one of the deck chairs, pulled your knees to your chest, and called him on FaceTime.
It didn’t take him long to answer and as soon as his face appeared on the screen you could feel yourself smile. You could tell by his surroundings that he was sitting on the deck off the back of his apartment in Vancouver.
“I was just about to call you,” he smiled, “are the kids asleep?”
“They’ve been out for a couple hours,” you chuckled, “I miss you, Mish.”
“I miss you too,” he sighed, “but I’ll be home in a couple months.”
You let out a sigh and ran your fingers through your hair. He knew you wished he would be home sooner but he also knew that you understood that his work demanded that he be away for months at a time.
“Is the sky clear over there?” he asked.
“Yeah,” you smiled, “what about for you?”
He nodded and you smiled. It didn’t take long for the two of you to start pointing out which constellations were visible in the night’s sky, something that you always did when you were missing each other too much. It was a way of making you feel like you were closer than you actually were.
As the minutes ticked on you knew that your call had to come to an end. He had an early set call and you had to get up early with the kids. You didn’t want the call the end but both of you knew it was time.
“I’ll text you in the morning when I get up,” he said, “I love you.”
“I love you too,” you replied.
You said your goodnights and hung up the phone. Letting out a sigh you set the phone down on the table and looked up at the sky, hoping to enjoy just a few more minutes of quiet before going back inside and climbing back into your empty bed. As you looked up at the same constellations you knew he was seeing you saw a shooting star streak across the sky. You smiled, closed your eyes and wished for him to come home sooner than he was supposed to, hoping that he was still sitting outside seeing the same thing.
As you walked back into the house, locking the sliding glass door behind you, you knew your future with Misha was just as bright as the shooting star you just saw, even if there were the dark times when you missed him more than you could say.

Working on the set of Supernatural was everything you’d expected it to be and more. The cast and crew were wonderful and even though you were only going to be appearing in a couple episodes they made you feel like part of the family. Despite the long hours you enjoyed being on set and you especially enjoyed spending time with your costars.
You spent most of your time with Jared and Jensen, seeing as you were guest starring as a fellow hunter, and you loved it. Really, though, you enjoyed the few scenes you shared with Misha much more. He was fun to be around always joking around almost as much as Jared, but not at the expense of getting the scene finished. He made going to work fun.
The more time you spent with him the more you started developing somewhat of a crush on him. You weren’t sure if he felt the same, but it didn’t matter. The executives of the show had put a strict ban on dating coworkers in the recent seasons, saying that Jared and Genevieve may have been a success story but that didn’t mean everyone could be. You completely understood where they were coming from but that didn’t mean, once you realized Misha actually did feel the same, that you wished the rule wasn’t in place.
It started small, flowers being sent to your trailer with cheesy pickup lines written on the cards, and harmless flirting between takes. Nothing you couldn’t brush off easily, even though you didn’t want to. After a few weeks, though, it started to get more extravagant. He must have taken you brushing him off as a challenge to win your affections and you couldn’t blame him on that – it had taken almost everything in you not to flirt right back and most of the time you failed.
Misha had managed to bring Jared and Jensen in on his attempts to win you over. Both of the men were constantly talking him up to you, making him out to be an incredible guy – which you already knew was true – in an attempt to land their friend a date. You told them that you couldn’t go on a date with him, that you wouldn’t be there that much longer and that the rules strictly said you couldn’t. What you didn’t tell them, though, was that you didn’t need convincing. If the rule wasn’t in place you would have said yes in a heartbeat.
As your time on the show came to a close you were finding it harder and harder to keep your feelings for Misha to yourself. You sat in your trailer with Jared, running lines for your final scenes, and you realized you had to tell someone about your feelings or you were going to explode.
“I like Misha.” You blurted out before thinking it over too much.
Jared looked up from his script, eyes going wide, before smiling at you.
“That’s great!”
“No, it’s not. No dating coworkers, remember?”
“So what, Y/N/N,” Jared sighed, putting his script down, “you’ve only got a few more days on set. It’s not the end of the world. Sometimes when you meet someone you’re meant to be with you’ve just gotta say fuck the rules.”
“Is that how it was with Gen?”
Jared nodded, smiling broadly.
“The day I met Gen it was like I knew, ya know? I mean, back then there wasn’t this rule so it didn’t really matter, but even if there was I would have ignored it. I knew I wanted to be with her and there was nothing that was going to stop me.”
You nodded and looked back down at your script, turning his words over in your mind. He had a point. If you wanted to be with Misha you really shouldn’t let anything stand in your way.
“I’m just saying,” Jared continued, interrupting your thoughts, “he really likes you and if you like him as much as I think you do then I say go for it.”
“Thanks, Jared,” you smiled.
He nodded, giving you another smile, and you went back to running lines. Once Jared left your trailer that evening you had decided to take his advice and go for it. Over the next few days you didn’t have any scenes with Misha and you barely saw him on set, which made your decision difficult to execute.
It wasn’t until your last day of filming that you finally had time with him again. Your final scene was a heavy one; your character was on her deathbed from getting caught in the crossfire during a fight with the angels, and you were grateful that Misha was on set with you that day. Castiel was supposed to try and heal your character and ultimately fail.
As Misha leaned down toward you and began reciting his lines you suddenly realized he was going off book and was speaking only loud enough for you to hear. You were finding it hard to focus on what you were supposed to be doing as you listened to him try and convince you to go on a date with him one last time. It was his last ditch effort and you knew it, but Jared’s words were ringing through your head and you knew you needed to do something.
“I don’t care what consequences it brings,” he whispered to you just as the director called cut, “I’ve been a fool for lesser things.”
Without hesitation and knowing that since it was your last day on set it didn’t matter if you got fired – it wasn’t like they could kill you off, you were in the middle of filming your death scene – you pushed yourself up from where you were lying on the floor, took his face in your hands, and kissed him fiercely.
“I take that as a yes?” he grinned when you finally separated.
“Yes,” you smiled and got back in your place as the director called for places.
The rest of the scene went smoothly; with everyone staying on book that time around, and your time on the show came to a close. After getting your makeup taken off and changed out of your costume you headed back to your trailer to get ready to go out with the cast for goodbye drinks. When you reached your trailer door, however, there was a note pinned to it.
Managed to convince them to go for drinks later. Meet me by your car in 30. – Misha.
You smiled to yourself as you collected your things from your trailer, knowing that whatever Misha had in store for you would definitely be exciting, and you were more than grateful that you’d decided to take Jared’s advice a

Your relationship with Misha had been anything but ordinary. Nothing he did surprised you in the slightest anymore, but that didn’t mean you weren’t at least a little skeptical of his plans at times. That night in particular was one of the times you weren’t one hundred percent on board with what your boyfriend had in mind. Normally he was able to convince you with some slight persuasion but the fact that he had you blind folded in the front seat of his car made it a little difficult for you to full accept the situation.
You opened your mouth to ask him, once again, where it was you were going but he stopped you.
“I’m not answering that,” he chuckled, “you just have to trust me.”
You let out a huff and crossed your arms over your chest before leaning your head back against the headrest. He wasn’t giving you anything to go on and that was starting to frustrate you. It wasn’t like you were worried about it, he wouldn’t ever put you in harms way, you just didn’t like being out of the loop. Surprises weren’t really your cup of tea.
Not much later you felt the car slowing down before coming to a stop. Misha announced that you’d reached your destination and told you that you could take your blindfold off. You did as you were told and were completely underwhelmed by the sight in front of you. You were expecting something huge. Something that actually warranted a blindfold, not a metal fence with a giant ‘Keep out. No trespassing. Private property’ sign on it.
You looked over at him; one eyebrow raised, and noticed he was grinning. You just shrugged; deciding to roll with the punches like you had for your entire relationship, and unbuckled your seatbelt. You climbed out of the car as Misha grabbed a blanket from the backseat. He laced his fingers with yours and led you toward the low fence. He let go of your hand, climbed over it and looked at you expectantly.
“You do realize that literally everything about this is illegal, right?” you asked.
“Yeah, but it wouldn’t be nearly as fun if it wasn’t,” he smiled.
“What if we get arrested?” you protested.
“We’re not going to get arrested,” he laughed, “come on!”
You let out a sigh and climbed over the fence and followed him down a dirt path. You weren’t walking long before you ended up in a huge clearing with a small lake at the opposite end. You couldn’t help the smile that was forming on your lips at the sight in front of you. The stars were shining brighter than you’d thought possible and Misha grabbed your hand, once again lacing his fingers with yours as you walked toward the lake.
When you finally reached the sandy shore Misha spread the blanket out and laid down on top of it, crossing his arms under his head. You followed suit but opted to rest your head against his chest instead of on your arms. You both stared up at the stars for a while, not really talking, just enjoying each other’s company.
You were so focused on the stars that you didn’t realize how intently Misha was focused on you. That worked out in his favor, though, because it meant that you didn’t notice him pulling the small velvet box from his shirt pocket. In fact you hadn’t even registered that he’d moved at all until you felt him place the box on your stomach.
Your eyes finally moved from the sky to your stomach and you let out a small gasp as you picked up the box and sat up. You stared at the diamond ring sitting in the center of the box for a full minute before looking over at Misha. When you finally met his eyes he was smiling, looking at you expectantly. He didn’t even have to ask and you didn’t have to answer.
You nodded vigorously, smiling broadly, as a few tears rolled down your cheeks. He grabbed your face and kissed you before taking the ring out of its box and slipping it onto your left ring finger. You threw your arms around him kissing him again.
“Still care if we get arrested?” he smirked.
“Not in the slightest,” you laughed and kissed him once more.

The bright lights from the game booths and carnival rides were almost blinding. Families were walking by while children begged their parents for money to win prizes as the cool breeze coming from the ocean made the summer night a little more bearable. You pulled your sweatshirt a little tighter around your body as you walked down the boardwalk with your friends. It was an impulsive decision to spend a few days down at the beach and it had taken some convincing to get you there but ultimately you were glad you decided to go.
You weren’t much into the bar scene but your friends wanted to go and that’s what found you walking into the boardwalk bar that night. The place was dimly lit and crowded with beach goers who weren’t quite ready for their day to end. You pushed through the crowd, following your friends, and made your way to the bar. When you finally reached the worn wooden counter you ordered a beer and looked around the room while you waited.
The crowd was diverse, people as young as twenty-one as well as aging married couples enjoying a night out together. You knew your friends would be on the prowl for their next conquests and you knew you’d be alone for the night. You didn’t have a problem with that and once you had your beer in hand you watched as your friends went off and talked to any single man they could find.
The area near the bar was getting far too crowded for your liking and there weren’t any barstools emptying out so you decided to find a less crowded corner of the bar to hang out in. You leaned against the wall near the bar’s entrance and continued to keep an eye out for your friends. You hummed along to the song playing on the radio and let your eyes wander over the crowd.
Only a few minutes had passed when your eyes landed on him. He was standing near the bar with two of his friends and you couldn’t take your eyes off of him. He was tall and broad shouldered. His dark hair was a bit of a mess but it seemed to suit him. You had a feeling he worked out with the way the sleeves of his t-shirt clung to his muscular arms.
You weren’t sure how long you’d spent standing there staring at him but eventually he looked over at you and his eyes locked with yours and you felt your breath catch in your throat. Even from a distance you could see just how blue his eyes were. He smirked at you and you felt the blush creeping up your cheeks. You immediately looked away from him and scanned the crowd for your friends again. Once you spotted them you took a chance and glanced back in his direction. He was talking to his friends again and you were thankful his gaze wasn’t still focused on you.
You finished off your beer and checked the time on your phone. It was just past midnight and you were hoping your friends would be ready to head back to the house soon. You were exhausted and more than ready to get to bed. You called out to one of your friends and she made her way over to you. You asked her how much longer and she just laughed before kissing your cheek and walking away, you took that as a sign that you would be at this bar until last call. With a sigh you decided you should probably grab another beer if you were going to be stuck there for a while.
You started to walk toward the bar but stopped in your tracks. The only clear path to the bar was right past the man you’d been staring at earlier. More than embarrassed that he’d caught you staring the last thing you wanted to do was walk past him to get to the bar. For a split second you thought about leaving the bar and walking the boardwalk and maybe even the beach but then thought better of it. If you did that you knew your friends would end up leaving without you and you’d be forced to walk home alone. With a sigh you mustered up all of the courage you could find and made a beeline for the bar, careful not to look anywhere but straight ahead of you.
As you walked you kept your focus on the bar and because of that you walked right into something solid. You hadn’t even realized he was in your way until it was too late.
“I am so sorry,” you mumbled.
“It’s fine,” he laughed.
You looked up at him and suddenly realized he was even better looking up close. You gave him a small smile and went to move around him but he moved in the same direction. You went back and forth like that a few more times before he laughed and stepped out of your way. You finally reached the bar, your cheeks burning from how much you were blushing, and waited for the bartender to make her way over to you.
She was barely paying any attention to you and you were starting to get frustrated. You were about to give up when someone came up next to you. It was him again and you felt yourself blushing all over again. He signaled over to the bartender and she came over. He placed his drink order and turned to you.
“What are you drinking?” he asked.
“Uh, Budweiser,” you said.
“A Budweiser, too,” he said to the bartender and she nodded.
“You don’t have to buy me a drink,” you said.
“It’s the least I can do for almost knocking you over back there,” he smiled.
“Thank you,” you smiled.
“I’m Misha, by the way,” he said when the bartender brought over your drinks.
“Y/N,” you replied.
“Nice to meet you, Y/N,” he said.
“You too,” you smiled, “and thank you for the beer.”
“Don’t mention it,” he smiled and you went to go back to where you were standing by the front of the bar.
Once you were back standing at the front of the bar Misha went back to talking to his friends and you scanned the crowd for your friends. They were nowhere to be found and you let out a sigh as you pulled out your phone to call them. When you unlocked the screen you noticed that you had text messages from each of them telling you that they’d left with some guys they’d met and would meet you back at the house. You groaned and shoved your phone back in your pocket, you should have known that was going to happen.
You quickly finished your beer more than ready to make the walk home by yourself. At least now you would be able to go to bed and not have to worry about them, it was the only silver lining you could find in your current situation. With a sigh you walked back toward the bar, placed your empty bottle on the counter, and went to leave.
You saw that Misha was standing there doing something on his phone and you took the opportunity to thank him again for buying you that drink.
“My friends left me here so I’m leaving,” you said once you’d gotten his attention, “I just wanted to thank you again for buying me that drink.”
“Oh, uh, you’re welcome,” he smiled.
You turned to walk away from him when he called out your name. You turned back around to face him and you couldn’t help but notice he looked a little nervous.
“I’m gonna assume you’re not busy for the rest of the night,” he said.
“I’m not,” you agreed.
“What do you say I buy you another drink?” he asked.
You thought about it for a second, not entirely sure you wanted to stay at the bar, but he locked eyes with you again and you suddenly realized that even if you were stuck at this bar spending time with someone has handsome as him was far better than your plans to go home and sleep.
“Sure,” you smiled, “why not.”
You followed him back over to the bar and he flagged down the bartender again. After ordering your drinks you noticed that some of the barstools were finally empty and both you and Misha took a seat. As the night wore on you talked about anything and everything. You were coming to realize that not only was he extremely handsome but he was kind and genuinely funny. You’d been talking for so long that before you knew it the bartender was calling last call.
You weren’t eager for the night to end so once your tab was paid and Misha suggested taking a walk on the beach you happily accepted. He let his friends know that he would meet them back at the house they were staying in and you made your way out onto the boardwalk. Your sandals barely made any noise against the wooden boards, due to the commotion of people leaving the bar, as you headed for the beach.
Once you hit the sand you kicked off your shoes and held them in one hand while you walked down toward the water with Misha by your side. You continued to talk and as you walked down the shoreline, the waves crashing at your feet, he laced his fingers with yours. When the water got too cold you walked back up the beach a little and sat down in the sand. You leaned your head against his shoulder as you talked about your jobs and what you hoped for your futures.
You’d never felt so comfortable with someone you’d just met and that scared you a little. You pushed those thoughts from your head as you listened to Misha tell you a story about something that happened in his childhood. You lost track of time talking to him and you found yourself lying in the sand next to him looking up at the stars. You weren’t sure how long you stayed like that but eventually you found yourself drifting off to sleep and you tried to force yourself to stay awake.
You propped yourself up on your elbow and looked over at Misha, intent on telling him that you should both probably head home but he was fast asleep. You didn’t have the heart to wake him and you were so tired that you settled yourself back on the sand and let yourself drift off.
The sound of seagulls and the hot sun on your face woke you the next morning. You opened your eyes slowly and noticed that you’d shifted in your sleep and your head was against Misha’s chest with his arms wrapped around you. You removed yourself from his embrace slowly as he opened his eyes. He smiled up at you before sitting up and stretching.
“I can’t believe we slept here last night,” he laughed.
“Me either,” you agreed, laughing with him, “but I had a great time with you last night.”
“I did too,” he smiled, “how long are you here?”
“Just two more days,” you sighed, “what about you.”
“I leave tomorrow morning,” he explained.
You nodded before asking him for his phone. He handed it over to you and put your number in.
“We should do this again, tonight,” you said handing his phone back, “if you want.”
“I think that’s a great idea,” he said standing up.
He helped you to your feet and you picked up your shoes before walking back onto the boardwalk. You slipped your feet back into your sandals and he offered to walk you home. You accepted and you walked toward your house in comfortable silence, your fingers intertwined.
Once you reached the front door of the house you were staying in you turned to face him and smiled.
“Why should we wait for tonight?” he asked, “My friends and I had plans to hang out on the beach today. You should bring your friends and meet us.”
“I’d like that,” you nodded.
You pushed yourself up on your tiptoes, to make up for the height difference, and pressed your lips against his in a sweet first kiss.
“I’ll see you in a few hours,” you promised and made your way inside the house.
Your friends were still sleeping and you practically raced to the bathroom to shower and get ready to head to the beach. Under any other circumstance you would have hated your friends for leaving you alone at the bar but this time around you were grateful. If they hadn’t left you high and dry you never would have met the man of your dreams.
