How did you learn to read? Entirely from a parent Entirely from schooling Mostly from a parent, partially from school Mostly from schooling, partially from a parent Equally from parenting and schooling Something else Nuance I'm Jared, 19
Inspired by a video with a lot of people in the comments blaming students struggling or being unable to both read and comprehend on parents not teaching their kids. That boggles my mind. That's part of the teachers' job?? It's negligent of them to do a poor job? I learned to read at school, not from a parent.

I've created a list of 100 commonly-assigned texts (at least in the USA), based both on my own experience and what I've heard from friends. I included a mixture of stuff assigned in middle school, high school, and college. Spin the wheel here and answer:
Were you assigned this text?
yes, I read this for school
I was assigned this text but didn't read it
I've read this, but not for school
I've heard of this but haven't read it
I haven't even heard of this text
Bonus: tell us what you thought in the tags!
Use your discretion for texts you started but didn't finish for whether you count it as "read" or not.
okay i need to see something
what do you use to track your reading
goodreads
fable
storygraph
notion
spreadsheet
journal
nothing
other: answer in the comments please

exes who can't stay apart/second chance
platonic, actually
forbidden love and/or star crossed
soulmate/fated (more positive than star crossed)
friends or enemies to lovers
